Anyone else get random stupid questions from their girlfriend? My girlfriend is incredibly smart (BSN, Charge Nurse, one year from Masters NMSU) but sometimes she ask me some of the dumbest shit. Like today, she asked me "What are we going to do about the kids that come trick or treating at our house?" I respond, "What about them? We will be out with ours doing the same thing." To which she ask, "What if they knock on the door and we aren't here?" I guess maybe, in some parallel universe, it's possible the fabric of time could come unraveled if we aren't home to answer the door for kids on Halloween? She goes on to say, "I could buy some candy and stay home while you take the kids so someone can answer the door. That way when we get home if they show up we are ready, I'm sure you get kids at your house right?" This is still America right? Isn't it common knowledge that if the porch lights are off, don't knock on Halloween? Or is that just how it goes everywhere I've been? Like I give two shakes of a rats ass if kids knock on my door and no one is there to answer. Ok... Rant over. Let the onslaught begin.
