Deej: The truth, critical thinking, and final argument.

I have watched this video in its entirety. I realize it is long, but unlike pro Destiny/Activision rhetoric, the truth is a little more complex, and you not taking the time to understand what is going on is what they are counting on. What we have here is the ultimate anti-fanboi argument. Contained in this video is every thing we critical thinkers have been trying to express, only to be freight trained by the deluded masses. The masses: those of us who have successfully been indoctrinated by the Lord of Profiteering: Activision. Why do people persist in defending what has taken place here? It could simply be lack of intelligence or the ability to critically think, but more likely it is pride: The fanboi ego cannot admit to the truths in this video, it has gone too far for him, in his mind there is no way back. Humility is not a word in his vernacular. In a world where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, we are brainwashed via corporately owned news outlets (see: Fox News, any Murdoch newspaper) to blame each other for the situation instead of looking at those in power, those with the wealth controlling every thing. Profit is increasingly becoming a dirty word. Or at least it should be. To all the nay sayers, i give you this: You have been conditioned to disagree with the rhetoric you see here. They have achieved this because they are smarter than you. Swallow your pride and open your mind. It is time to become a critical thinker, not just a consumer, with 2D personality. For a better understanding of how corporations have become so powerful Government cannot control them, and how they are shafting us in every market we participate in, i recommend a Youtube channel called "The Trews" by a critical thinker called Russel Brand (previously a comedian). Profit has now fully infected the games market, that is why $500 million buys us a gutted husk of a game such as Destiny, Watchdogs, Titanfall and others. To Deej i say (as he is apparently reading all this): please let your bosses know that we know what occurred here. EDIT 1: To those saying i jumped on some sort of bandwagon with this video, here i link my previous thread, some weeks old, in which i make a weak effort in tackling this subject: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/71096924/0/0 EDIT 2: It's a tough challenge, trying to protect people who fight to defend the system hurting them. EDIT 3: All big business is owned by the 1%. And thusly they don't care where you spend your money, as long as you do. The power of consumer choice is a lie. Pick up your Destiny box and read the back, it literally says "rich cinematic story telling". Can you see the problem there? EDIT 4: Best insult received: "Also, I find your username hilariously perfect. Do you refer to your house as "The Superiority Complex"?" lel Final Edit: I have just read the details of The Dark Below, and it will not fix the inherent failures of this game. They are pushing forward with this hacked up iteration of Destiny. They sold us one game, delivered another, and for better or for worse this is it now. It is a game aimed at the 12yr olds, the CoD generation, and I am out. I will boost friends in the raid only until I can trade this in for GTA V. See you Manhattan-side for The Divison, Guardians!

 • Here's how I interpreted the video: A lot of interesting theories with little to no subjugating proof The evidence is well sited, with what there is available. The geo-mapped areas, the changes to story based off seen content, and the subjugation that Destiny was dumbed down to target this audience. This evidence, however, does not have heavy enough an implication to merit what the author of the video was inferring. He essentially plays "Devil's advocate" on every single topic, assuming the absolute worst of both the developers and publishers. I can offer different ideas for each of the points the author supports about the game, i.e.: DLC is a cash grab// game is dumbed down// a better story was destroyed for destiny's sub-par story. For the DLC, instead of assuming this is a blatant cash grab for making "lodes of monee", perhaps this is financing the 500$ it took to make the game. I can understand Destiny not being a cheap game to make. The constant update to servers and sites, paying a team to give destiny additional maintenance, development of additional content or tweaking content, playtesting, PR, ect. One theory could be that, if content is readily available on the disk, this is being used to finance Destiny and make way to provide additional/promised content with these assets. This is a theory, much like the author of the video. But he does not discuss an alternative. In his eyes, the only possibility is greed, sloth, or incompotence. He limits his audience in thinking that financial difficulties of creating this game is a non-issue by offering no counterpoint. For the game being dumbed down, I have one word needed for this counterargument: Raids. It would have been one thing if the author acknowledged the difficulty of the raids as Destiny's saving grace, but instead he only sites sources, i.e. simpler challenges within the game, as his only standing arguments. He disregards the game's built in need to formulate well suited teams for raids, nightfall, or the challenge of the crucible. Difficulty is in the eye of the beholder, and a quick, loud voice does not entitle your opinion to be fact. I can see this game being easy for a multitude of players, but I can also see it being difficult for others. Use actual data to prove your theory versus stating "Destiny is too easy" and passing it off as fact. And finally, the story. How can you prove the story previously written wasn't as bad as the one Destiny currently has? You ASSUME it was better, and from this assumption, it becomes dogma that any differences noted in the change must be better than what is currently on the game. Perhaps it wasn't? Maybe the devs were staving off something far worse. Maybe the simplistic story that destiny portrays was what could be salvaged from a story that was nonsensical or ludicrous. You cannot prove this, yet the author implies this to be fact. The lack of any counterarguments or benefit of the doubt shows a great flaw in the author's total argument. There are many other examples which I'm sure will be brought up to counter this post, so I will address those as they come. TL;DR: This video is more one sided than a mobius strip
