I think the frustration people are feeling regarding the randomness of gear and drops may have something to do with the Call of Duty type games... Many games (like COD) give the player very clear directions/goals to get the gear or perks they want. If you want that fancy gold handgun, you have to kill XX number of enemies with XX gun. If you want to get the special perk to drop bombs on your moms, then you have to get a killstreak of XX. Destiny does not give clear directions on how to obtain gear, get coins, or the story for that matter. I sort of like the limb Bungie went out on regarding the random awards given. Yes many people are upset they do not have a clear set of instructions for 'getting the best loot'. I enjoy playing this game quite a bit. I am looking forward to see what the future brings to this game. Maybe by then the haters will be off complaining about a newer game and let those who enjoy this game discuss it constructively.
