Consistent problem that can be easily be duplicated for proof.

My wife and I got Destiny for the PS3 the day it came out. We have enjoyed being able to play and help each other. We have since purchased 1 PS4 for solo playing and hopefully will be able to afford another one down the road. One of the cool things we like about Destiny is that your character and controller config is saved on Destiny servers so that no matter what system you log into all your stuff is there. This is also causing a bit of a problem. It seems that the DEFAULT settings for the trigger button on the PS4 and the PS3 are opposite of each other. So let's say on the PS3 the L1 is look down sites and the L2 is throw grenade. On the PS4 the L1 is throw grenade and the L2 is look down sites. So what happens is because I play on the PS3 mainly, the Destiny servers think I like the default trigger settings.... Which I do, but only on the PS3!! If I go to the PS4, I have to hit the SQUARE button to switch away from the default settings. All is fine but if I go back to play on the PS3, it thinks I like the non default. Sounds a little confusing but hopefully this is clear. Can this ANNOYING bug be fixed?

  • This is an issue with the standard button layout between the PS3 and PS4 being different. All the game can do is store that you swapped the buttons. So when you switch between the consoles it swaps the native button layout. The team is aware of this issue.
