  • Dude, when Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed simultaneously, no-one b*tched that we only got 1/3rd of the filmed content at the forst showing. Bungie appear to have developed two plus games' worth of contents here. I've already milked 200 hours of gameplay from this, and can easily see another 100's worth (minimum) before it gets really stale. So, Bungie are going to make us pay another game's price before giving us another game, since yearly sequels are now the preserve of the noughties. Oh, and CoD, that master of continuous, annual gameplay innovation. </ironic tone> And they're going to give it to us 3 months post-launch. This shouldn't be a question of "ermagawd, I'm being ripped off becoz Bungie gave me 1 game instead of 2 for £55." This should be a question of "is £60 a fair price for 200 hours of content, and is another £30 a fair price for another 100-200 hours of AAA gameplay?" Me, I think so. I like that Bungie is spreading this out, I'm "getting" that Destiny is porting the medium of nos joures (the epic 4/5 season series) to video games, I like that there will be a constant stream of new content at a MUCH cheaper price than a series box set, and I get that if they're going to do something really new, really well, they need a healthy profit to do so. I mean, let's face it - this has been the smoothest MMO launch in 2+ years (CoD hasn't "launched" since 2008...)
