Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a trading system?
I find that my friend and I constantly get items the other wants. If players were able to trade, it would improve overall gameplay.

No, it wouldn't, the amount of exotics and what not that would be circling in things like crucible would make them near worthless. I believe that if trading were to exist, only materials maybe not even ascendents.

4 RepliesSimply by reading the replies in this post is is painfully obvious which players are CoD finatics and which are true MMO players....anyone who things that this game with good without a trading system has never played a REAL MMO before and has no experience with a trading system and therefore cannot state that it would be bad...you're all morons and no nothing of REAL games....trading systems are one of the core systems in any good game...without it you are stuck with crap your character can't use or you don't want which can help others get on your level...

I don't think they should have free trading, it would probably do as everyone is saying and ruin the game. I do however, think the trading between certain levels of armor and weapons is viable. Also I think that there should be more to owning more than 1 of a exact weapon rather than just dissemble. There should be a way to take exotics or legendaries and further dismantle or " fuse " extra ones into a prime weapon, increasing pve damage and such. Maybe different abilities to choose from, that way us players have a sense of custom weapons tuned to what we want them to do.

Everything is too easy to get though, if there were more diverse gear and possibly random stats on guns that could make different tier gear and weapons it would be viable but now everything in the same.

1 ReplyHave a shop keeper in tower you can sale items to. Other players in the tower with you can purchase your item you just sold from the shop keeper. Once you leave to orbit the items are no longer available for purchase.

That would be idiotic. The market would be flooded with everyone having everything. I am missing a single piece of raid armor for 30 and I have multiple sets of other pieces with friends having the complementing situation. I would rather raid for 3 more months for the piece than trade to for it now.

Have you considered the exploitation and harassment there would be if you could trade? - Selling in game items for ridiculous rates or even real money, - high level players getting bombarded with, "can you buy ___ for me, i'll pay you." - Can you imagine crucible? "Gimme that exotic you noob! I went 20-0 and got nothing, your 0.2 kd doesn't deserve that!" And I bet someone finds a way to glitch the trade so they can steal items from other people. No trading! I'd rather raid for months to get the item I need/want

2 RepliesIt wouldn't work it would ruin the value of exotic and legendary items, people would just give them to friends etc example being should I be able to have raid gear without completing the raid? As well as the bragging rights of getting it? Of course not it wouldn't be fair to those who have grinder for it and it also promotes mortally wrong gameplay, people would 'sell' gear to people who haven't got it for real cash and it would just ruin the whole concept that you need to earn it. It would be come pointless playing the game I'd be able to make a new character be given/but the gear and then get to 20 without doing any hard work to earn it

I believe so there should be a trade system but there should also be a option to turn off trading so people could keep requesting to trade

There was going to be. But Bungie took a turn for the worst, and it is no longer in the game, along many other features.
