Do you guys realize that most MMO type games are a monthly subscription fee that you continually pay as long as you are playing the game as well as the initial amount you pay to purchase the disc or download?? Seriously, I will gladly pay $15 for new DLC and the game be free to play then have to drop money every month just to play the thing. That was one thing I love about Guild Wars 2. It's free to play and they add new stuff all the time which is free as well, but honestly it's $15. Either buy it or don't, but get over it. I honestly think overall this game is great. Yes, there are some things they need to iron out and fix, but the Destiny universe is going to continue for 10 years. It's going to change and grow and they will continue to fix issues based on feedback they receive, but if you are that dead set about not paying $15 for some new DLC then don't and you can play something else while the rest of us enjoy it.
