why tf is nightfall harder than the raid?!!!

Nightfall was easy as. Are you doing raid on Hard Mode? Pretty sure every nightfall combined have nothing on Hard mode Gatekeeper fight

Run with an arc sniper and the gjallahorn and you'll be just fine kid:)

BTW, I finished the nightfall on Tuesday. It's all about having Arc damage heavy and arc damage special. Or find friends that have one of the two, and you have the other. That's how I did it. I don't have any Arc damage special (only heavy) and I used my primary solar damage Scout Rifle against the Wizard's with solar shields. Worked well, but it took a while and we had to be super careful

1 Replylol i used patience and time and an arc zombie apocalypse - was able to 2 shot the yellow knights - 1 shot the reg shielded knights - when i ran out of ammo or there was only wizards left id switch to icebreaker

1). you use the exploits to beat the raid? 2). you're raiding on normal not hard? 3). you dont understand the term "Arc Burn" let me explain my three points. 1 - beating the raid on even normal properly without exploits (by which i mean knocking the boss off the edge) requires team work, all of your team have to work together. no matter how well you as an individual perform, you cant beat it if the other players around you fail. that makes it harder, maybe you have a good team or are being carried? 2- raiding on hard makes it harder for players, you no longer can be higher level than the adds, so effective damage and bonus damage are reduced. and you will take more damage. that is a clear leap in difficulty. also you have no respawns. If you run on normal you get respawns, on hard you cant even be picked up. Thats far harder than your nightfall. 3- arc burn and lightswitch? active this weak. so wizards will kill you quickly, knights too, and any melee from any enemy is probably instant death. The benefit is arc damage weapons do increased damage. fate bringer, plan C, patients and time, thunderlord... any arc based damage is around double damage. (except to wizard shields that still needs fire damage first.) This can drop enemies alot quicker, (plan C one shots a regular knight). This means you can actually damage the yellow health bar before they run away, and when they come back you can kill them.

Nightfall is not harder, just requires some patience and actual cover. But i give you that, the 4 witches of the current Nightfall are a pain in the butt.

Soloed the nightfall i cant solo the raid so nightfall is easier imo but you need strategy you can just run in guns blazing (especially this week)

Because theres a super high chance you will get an exotic so they make you die in one hit. Its only fair.

2 RepliesThe words hard and easy are really subjective here. Everyone who says it's easy is for sure an experienced player, knows exactly what to do and has the PATIENCE to execute properly. For everyone who finds this nightfall difficult. Well first off.. Stop tanking lol. The enemies do 4x arc damage (yes you do too so use arc weps obviously) and will one shot you with all melee attacks. Keep your distance. Either solo it or if you are not a perfect player like me go in with a team that you coordinate well with. Watch some youtube videos.. Then get a crappy reward for your heart attack... That is all. Have fun. XD

1 ReplyThis weeks Nightfall was actually fairly easy. This is why you should have all three damage type sniper rifles, fusion rifles, heavy Machine Guns, and Rockets. Buddy and Me made it to the end before we died because he got to the final resspawn restricted area and died while I was switching weapons. But seriously, Make it to the first big door with 3 waves. Start the battle with an Arc MG and a Solar Sniper rifle. Hang back at the entrance and take out as many people as you can with your normal weapons. When nights come, switch to the arc HMG and burn them quick(helps to have arc grenades too) Constantly hang back at the door, funneling the enemy towards you, When wizards rush you, fall all the way back up the stairs behind the rocks and burn them with your Solar Sniper(Icebreaker if you have it). You will get one or two of them, then you have to run back to the entrance and lure them back out. Rinse and repeat until the first part is over. Keep your Arc HMG equiped until you are almost at Phogoths door. Then Switch to an Arc Rocket Launcher, Stay in the first room and retreat one room back when the seeder comes out. Use your Rockets on the boss, using heavy ammo synthesis when you need to . It should only take about 10 rockets or so to bring him down.

3 RepliesThe nightfall cramps a lot of peoples Rambo style of gameplay, so they think its hard. Really all you need to do is take advantage of the Burn for the week, know the strike a little, and be patient.
