RNG is fair you scrubs
the RNG system guarantees that everyone has an equal [i]chance[/i] at getting something. whether or not you get said something is matter of [i]luck[/i], not of "fairness"
EDIT: you guys are treating the term 'fair' as a subjective matter by corrupting the definition with your own perspectives. 'fair' isn't a feeling or opinion
EDIT: to be fair means to not give anyone the advantage or disadvantage
EDIT: i don't like the RNG system and am all for a skill-based system. however if you stubborn asses could take a second to step outside your own shoes you would see that bungie would lose a lot of business and create a lot of elitism in doing so
EDIT: i'm not replying to any of you anymore. i have said what i want to say and if you disagree i could care less. some people just wanna fight, and i don't feel the need to deal with them. this has received numerous likes so there are people who are flexible enough to see things from my perspective, and that is my goal. i'm just trying to explain this through an objective lens and give insight as to why bungie would implement this system over another. i am not your therapist to cry to over your bad luck or frustration over some scrub having better luck than you. sure i may be level 30, but i wouldn't retract my statement even if i was stuck at 28. i guess i have a unique ability that none of you seem to possess which is empathy. i sure hope none of you gamble IRL.

I dont get it. Everyone is crying about the rng system yet this system is just fine. First its not like you dont have multiple paths to getting exotic weapons or gear. Nightfall, raids, bounties, and crack dealer xur. Plus a small chance in everything you do for exotics. The rest to get legendaries is to grind rep. Evryone should be able to get to 29 with out much hardship. Shit all three of my characters were 29 in first 2 weeks just from rep. Plus all had great weapons. Now i can understand the drops in the raid suck. But i would love everyone here to go play worldof warcraft. Get into a raiding clan then see if you get anything from the drops when that clan does everything based off of dkp. See if you get anything with the dk points that you dont have and may never get enough to get those items you want or need to progress. This system may not be what you want but at least it gives a chance for everyone to get something out of it. Noobs and pros have the same chance. I have ran the raid every week since it came out. Just this week did i actualy get gear for it while everyone else i playy with is now at 30. But instead of whining i put my head down got everything else i needed and kept at it.

True, the 15-16 yr olds dont understand that the RNG incorporates probability... the more you play the more you get... They just like shortcuts to cheapen the experience all so they can say "only people who live in basements would play it without xur or weekly handouts". I guess expecting a game to be ACTUALLY CHALLENGING is too much for these scrubs.

RNG probably would have made more sense with a different levelling system, but since everything relies on the light level its a busshit system for most people

Do you know how long MMORPGs have used RNGs? and people have complained since day one. for those of you who go as far as saying the RNG is like Communism, you are dead wrong. the RNG will get you something eventually. you just have to work at it. some more than others. sometimes, thats how life works too. Bungie doesnt owe you anything. you are just another player in a game, you are not some kind of gaming legend. you are not the "chosen one," who deserves every exotic item for your class. you are one single guardian. the whole idea is that with RNG, you have to work to get an item, some more and some less. its to keep the exotics out of the hands of scrubs and pros alike. they purposely try to rip you off, its like gambling. its all about chance. some will have to kill one enemy to get that exotic engram or beat one bounty to get that exotic bounty you want.others will have to kill 10,000 just to get that engram or complete 10,000 bounties just to get that exotic bounty. its not supposed to be easy or hard. its just about luck. if everyone had an equal opportunity to get an exotic weapon, this game would be noob-unfriendly. the big clans would all have exotics, the new, or soloing players would have rare gear at best. this game would be a mess. some players are balanced by skill, others by gear, and others just suck both ways or are good both ways. those are all chances you have to take. welcome to the world of MMORPGs. if you dont like it, then go play CoD. its more for you than this game is.

2 RepliesI agree with you. Completely random = fair for everyone. BUT the problem is people expect to be rewarded for this or that.. I think the best solution would just for other people to not be able to see rewards on postgame stats.. Then they wouldn't care what anyone else got.

Nah I'm not done with this phuckery, as a guy who did the nightfall and got a legendary engram from a night fall(which have me 2 shards) and for the 3rd time in a row got a POS spaceship and a 6 shards total from Atheon.(only raid gear I got is boots, scout rifle, class items, and 3 POS ships) You can kiss my motherphucking asss. BUNGIES RNG SYSTEM SUCKS IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE. RNG systems can at the very least be based off of common sense rewards from certain events or bosses and also trends can be notified and changed based on what he or she has gotten. It is possible to have a much better RNG system because if it's possible to get a legendary engram as a reward for doing a nightfall then anything is possible, on a serious note there are RNG systems that make a lot more sense than what Bungie has currently. "you will soon be met with ninja injustice for once again keeping it real."

Horrible argument. Fair vs unfair Equality vs inequality Philosophically discussion and video games don't mesh well. Better kept at black and white level. If I'm better than the 40 year old who has to juggle work, home and video games so be it. I should have better gear. RNG is a horrible system.

2 RepliesI didn't buy destiny to be screwed over relentlessly. It makes sence that a higher lvl player would be the one who puts more time into the game. They could easily have made that so but intentionally dropped the max level cap and made it possible for 3 year olds to get a full set of raid gear first try and for me to get 1 piece after 30 tries. (No joke that's my so called RNG luck.)

RNG is a fair system and being that a lot of MMO style games have used it for so long speaks to its effectiveness. Kids need to grow up and accept the fact that they wont just be handed something because they were sooooo amazing at pushing buttons.
