"Support" is a rather a vague concept in defining the abilities and contribution of a class in a team-work oriented setting. It can be by way of a sheer dps output that kills everything in sight before they can do any harm or by way of shields, heals and CCs when the targets are tough enough that sheer brute force will not take it down before they do fatal harm to the team.
There are 6 subclasses (9, if counting the 3 new ones despite the limited inforamtion thusfar), what sort of support role(s) do they, loosely speaking, fit in? My understanding is:
Striker: DPS with some CC through the use of the Flashbang Grenade
Defender: DPS with Shields to teammates; within which the teammates can regen
Voidwalker: DPS
Sunsinger: DPS and increasing the abilities recharge speed via Radiance
Gunslinger: DPS
Bladedancer: DPS with the situational stealth for ressing downed teammates
So basically every subclass is very capable to handling themselves by way of killing the enemies. But it seems only Defender and Sunsinger (and may be a Displine-centric Striker and a stealth-centric Bladedancer too) offer the added benefit of providing an extra layer of non-DPS support to the team.
If I prefer tp play as a non-DPS support character, my choice will be Defender and Sunsinger.
What do you think?

Well my opinion-Defender is the best support character, coz Sunsinger needs a selfrevive perk thats made him an unstoppable killing machine lol
