What's the best way to get armour with light? I'm stuck. I don't play everyday and just wanting to know if their is a faster way than I'm currently using.

Edited by swirve: 10/28/2014 12:44:14 PMThe grinding has just begun... If youre lucky just play If youre not lucky get vanguard rep and marks and buy purple armour and strange coins for Xur Exotics, it will take you <2weeks doing one character to get to lvl29 If you are skilled at PvP and lucky do that If you are unskilled at PvP and lucky do that If you are unlucky stear clear of the PvP unless you enjoy that

Don't rely on RNG. Buy your Legendaries from the vendors. Plan which legendaries you want and work toward them.
-
Hey if you don't like crucible like me then stick with vanguard only. Don't wear a faction item because you will still need crucible marks to buy the items. Put on a normal class item, do the vanguard bounties. Then just grind vanguard strike playlist. At rank 2 you can buy the armor you need.
-
Choose a faction, bounties, Strikes, vanguard and crucible rep go towards that faction. You can level that twice as fast as anything else. Also strikes have high chances of giving rare and legendary engrams!
-
Strikes, crucible, and choose a faction.
-
Bounties and strikes were my preferred method on all 3 characters. It moves rather quickly as you progress through the playlists, but you won't get full level 20 blue armor until you're doing the 24 strikes. The faction with the most benefit right now is vanguard, so don't equip a reputation cloak and just keep working on it. By the time you get rank 2, you'll have the points to buy a few pieces and rank 3 offers legendary guns.
-
I would do a faction. That way, reputation from ANYTHING is converted to your factions.
-
-bounties to increase reputation -farming on patrol -strike playlist -crucible

Edited by GalvatronAlpha7: 10/26/2014 10:12:40 AMGet that Vanguard rank up son! They have a couple of pieces to help you boost your light level a bit. Vanguard leveling is essential to your initial light level growth. Also participate in public events as often as you can. Basically you want vanguard leveling up, events that offer ascendant materials and cryptarch engrams

When 23 do VoG if ,your desperate... Like me
-
Strike playlist then grind banguard marks, you can get 20 a day in an hour easy, could get 100 but if you only play for an hour or 2 then 20 should be good
-
Grind out strike playlists to get vanguard reputation and marks to buy gear from your class vanguard at rank 2. Work your way up to doing Tiger strikes and you will max your weekly marks really fast and get a descent amount of engrams.
-
Hit the vanguard playlist with some higher level mates so u can boost through them fast
-
Get your vanguard rep up by doing patrols and strikes. Patrols offer higher rep per hour. I like to do patrols while waiting for public events and I use this image (http://m.imgur.com/V7uXKGq) so I know where I have to be. Also do bounties when you have them as they offer high rep as rewards. Once you're rank two you can use your marks to buy vanguard legendary pieces.
-
chest farm for blues. that can get you to at. least level 24. then play tiger strike list. daily, weekly and night fall. you will get. good gear in the Vault... at least a good chance.
-
Part that sucks the most is that the gear that drops is based off your current level. So any rares you find will still be level 16/17 until you build up the light levels to find level 20 blues :) Can still find level 20 legendary and exotics. I found the best way to start is grind out a few strikes to get gear and level up engram ! once you get a level up with him you get some rares and high chance at legendary ;3 ... once you get bored of that go kill some people and test your RNG in the crucible :)
-
Pretty much all rares at this point will all have light too. Start there and then grind strikes like others said for marks
-
Strike playlist. Get rep and marks for vanguard and crucible. Then buy armor from quartermasters = lots of light
-
Play a lot of Vanguard strikes.
