I am a Hunter on all 3 of my accounts level 29. It's time for the Weekly Nightfall! This time it's against Phogoth the Untamed in the Summon Pits strike on the Moon. Modifiers Epic: Heavily Shielded and highly aggresive enemies appear in great numbers. Angry: Minions of the Darkness won't flinch even after massive damage. Lightswitch: Minions of the Darkness Deal much more melee damage. Arc Burn: Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased Nightfall: If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit. Looking at the modifiers it doesn't seem to challenging, but it really is. Acolytes are unaffected by basically all of the modifiers, however Knights, Wizards, Thralls, and Cursed Thralls all do Arc Damage. Thralls Now do 9x damage on their melee attack assuming that the Lightswitch and Arc Burn modifiers stack (correct me if I'm wrong) I have yet to see them not 1 hit somebody, it is recommended to always get rid of the thralls immediately. Knights will kill in 3-4 bursts, and the tiny blasts of arc damage from the wizards definitely hurt a lot. Angry doesn't affect many enemies excluding Phogoth himself and the Knights. Phogoth will not flinch after sniping his weak spot and knights will continue to bum rush you after being shot in the head with a sniper. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE. My load-out going into the nightfall: Primary: Vision of Confluence fully upgraded Secondary: Plan C fully upgraded Heavy: Hezen Vengeance 267 attack. Using Bladedancer with invisbility+shadow jack, and the Arcbolt Grenade Part 1: Drive your sparrow past the acolytes outside of the area and ignore the 3 knights on the inside going down the stairs. Don't worry about dying here, you will not be sent to orbit. Once you get down the stairs there will be a bunch of enemies inside, 2 thralls, some acolytes a wizard, a hallowed knight and an ascendant knight. Get rid of the thralls and stay behind the door-way, kill all the acolytes and then run to some cover inside of the room. Take out your arc weapons and get rid of the knights and the wizards. Part 2: Once you've cleared out the room run down the stairs to the room with the 3 waves. You'll have to deploy your ghost to begin the waves. Wave 1 A bunch of thralls and a couple of knights. The Thralls will instantly come out from the back and rush at you STAY AT THE DOORWAY THE ENTIRE TIME AND BAIT THE THRALLS TO FOLLOW YOU. Run up the stairs when you're shooting at them or if you can one shot them with precision damage take them out very quickly. If one gets close it's game-over. Once you defeat the thralls kill the knights with your arc damage. (Fusions rifles are very good at killing them) Wave 2 Cursed Thralls will spawn however they will not run to the doorway if you're hiding there. Pop out into the room with the enemies ocassionaly to lure them back and then run up the stairs so you can spray at them with your sniper/fusion rifle from a distance. Lure the knights back to get rid of them. There will be 2 more wizards that will stay back. DO NOT RUSH THEM. Attempt to use your heavy ammo to disperse of their shields quickly and then take them out very quickly while they are still in sights otherwise they will flee and regen their shields. You can then get rid of any weaker hive enemies. Acolytes should not be an issue here Wave 3 There will be 4 wizards spawning here, including one that you need to kill to open the door. Also a couple of knights. THESE WIZARDS WILL AGGRESSIVELY FOLLOW YOU. Lure them into the long corridor and snipe at them from a distance! They may occasionaly lock aggro on you and you will have to shoot at them to lure them back. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TAKING THEM OUT. Part 3: After clearing out all of those head through the door into a room with an ogre a knight and couple of thralls. Disperse of the thralls quickly and then fire at the ogre and the hallowed knight from a distance using your grenades to take them out. In the next room a knight/wizard will spawn with a bunch of acolytes up top. (If you are a hunter you can run through these invisibly to right below the acolytes, go invisbile again and run all the way to where phogoth is past the hallow knights without having to kill anything) After killing a few of the acolytes and the wizard the thralls will spawn very close to you in a door to the left. THESE WILL INSTA-KILL you, run as soon as you see the door open. If you're not a hunter you will have to clear out the enemies that spawn from the hive tombship so you can get a better angle at sniping the hallowed knights from a distance. Part 4: Boss Fight time! Spray all of your heavy/special ammo into phogoth and deal as much damage as you can until some enemies start attacking. STAY IN THE ROOM WHERE THE DOOR FIRST OPENS. DO NOT HEAD INTO PHOGOTHS CHAMBER. After about 10 seconds a shrieker will spawn, once this happens a bunch of wizards will also fly up to the same room, head into the previous room and hide behind the wall until everything despawns. Occasionally a couple of knights will not de-spawn quickly disperse of them with your grenades/special ammo and fire at phogoth again. Repeat this process over and over again running when the shrieker spawns to the middle room and then firing at phogoth with your arc damage until he is dead. It is recommended to use special ammo synthesis if you run out of ammo. DO NOT GET GREEDY. The Shrieker is very powerful and can kill you in 2 bursts. It could take up to 5 minutes to get rid of phogoth. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT RUN BACK TO THE AREA BEHIND THE SECOND DOOR OR ELSE PHOGOTH WILL RE-SET. Over-all difficulty to solo: 10/10, took me 3 tries. If I can have the assistance of a titan/warlock to tell me of strategies and perks that they can abuse during this nightfall mission please let me know and I'll edit it. I can only give tips to the hunters for now. I understand that this nightfall will be very difficult for Warlocks and nightfalls always seem to be the easiest for hunters in groups because of the invisibility reviving.
