Faith restored
So i joined a fireteam to do the raid. None of us had played together before and for one person it was their first time. We beat the raid and a couple guys get only materials. I was lucky along with the new guy and got atheons epilouge. There was no hate no sudden quitting. Everyone on the team was happy for the new guy who got the gun. And now he just wants to do it again to help other people and to get more raid gear. So faith in destiny players has been restored for me. Its not filled with angry, spiteful people like i was starting to believe.

I dropped out of Guardian High Point High not too long ago. I'm just a lonely titan out here in the destiny world just trying to do a raid. I don't care who you are, where your from, how many zombies you killed, i just would like to play with a legit group of friends within the same time schedule. Bungie has made this so difficult for me. I have spent countless hrs at the tower sending out random invites. I was lucky to participate in my first raid this past weekend but that quickly fizzled out. Titan Defender High Level 28 (M-Th 6PM-12AM) (F-Sun Anytime) Looking for a consistent RAID Group. 6 RepliesI have had 2 good trips to the VoG and one horrible. For guys like me who are trying to memorize the tactics so I can lead a group of my friends who are all new to the Raid, being a dick when pros are speed running it is counter productive. But there are a lot of people on here who have the battle cry of "Me, Me, Me!" It's nice to see there's still some good people on here to help out the new guys. I'm going to attempt it Sunday (after football of course) with some VoG virgins and we might need two more on Xbox One. Any well versed Titans with a bubble would be appreciated.

I love destiny and regardless of the forums opinions don't influence me much. If anyone wants a friend to just do crap with or party up feel free to send me a request. I got a level 7 warlock I am going to train up and if you need a max leveled titan (talking defender or striker sub classes) hit me up. I am on the old 360. Thanks again Kaos Hatter lets keep the positive and "constructure feedback coming". It would be great to hear less QQ and move positive posts.

11 RepliesHonestly, if you go by the forums, you'd think half the people playing the game are real jerks. Just last night, I was playing on Venus, and all of a sudden someone started shooting me. I thought he was being a prick, trying to make me miss shots or something dickish like that, until I turned and looked and saw him jumping on a bluff above me -- on a treasure chest. The dude literally went out of his way to get my attention the only way he could, and even waited patiently when I fell off and had to climb back up, when it would've been easier to just grab it and run off, since I wasn't even headed that way. So despite what some people might garner from reading these forums, there are a [i]lot[/i] of faither-restorers playing this game.

Nice post, I agree completely. My first VoG well - was terrible we couldn't even get past the sync plates - keep in mind this was only 2 weeks after it came out and most well... couldn't hardly figure it out at the time. I gave it some time for the base to grow and players to get experienced and this week after coming back from vacation I have ran through it 4 times. It was refreshing to have players who helped carry, educate, and win the day. I didn't get much but junk but hell it was still tons of fun. I did it once out of those 4 where I got dropped - stupid Gorgon cave just kept messing me up and well the leader got tired of it so after respawn I got replaced with another player (trying to respawn in on gatekeeper). That part sucked but like I said it is not nearly as bad as it was. There will still be elitest douche bags in every MMO (IF YOU CANT DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME GET OUT OF MY GROUP - and these people ruin the game). However, in spite of that I just practiced the gorgon cave from a check point :). Not so hard now but the positive players inspired me to help others. Until now I never done a nightfall or even raid. Thanks players for making this game much more enjoyable for me!

J1ffyLub3 is exactly right. Forums are the home of Destiny hate. People in the game are usually quite nice and collaborative. I joined up with a team of total randoms for my first VoG run. We crashed and burned, didn't make it past Templar, but everyone was good with it and saying they hoped we could learn more and try again. Don't go by these forums, they're a cesspit of toxicity and disinformation.

Great post, I too have had a lot of really good experiences with random groups and most people in them are quite thoughtful and mature. I do believe that the minority are the complainers on these forums.

I have never come across an angry or spiteful person on Destiny and I have been playing since the first day of the Beta. We joke around a lot, but it is always in good nature and never hateful. I hated playing online with people because in the past (Halo *cough cough* CoD *cough cough*) people usually are super arrogant, hateful, mean, and troll the hell out of me. Destiny has restored my faith in what an online community can be. I am sorry this has happened to you in the past...but hopefully it won't happen again :D

I've never come across anyone who actually got pissed over the loot. That's just shit people post on the forums. I mean, if every negative thing I've posted about Destiny would reflect on my own copy I would have burned it a long time ago. I complain because I think they could improve a game that despite all the flaws has a solid foundation. If everything had been shit about the game I would have just moved on.

If Jesus had a Gamer tag it'd be BigPhishX3. He would be playing on Oculus Rift, And he would skip all the cut-scenes. Also he trades exotics for green engrams, cause he's just cool like that. His Raid team, the super justice friends would beat the raid on hard by kindly asking Atheon to reflect on his actions. Sadly they would only receive shards for their effort. Bungie would plan a hotfix in the coming weeks to prevent Atheon's redemption, and refer to it as a "bug".

I just recently did the raid for the first time and got the stupid ship. I want that gun so bad! Glad u got it!!
