After several hours of game play and grinding out legendary\exotic gear....including several hours of crucible game play, it has become painfully clear there is no purpose to Destiny. The crucible balance, or rather unbalance, makes it pointless to get any gear better than uncommon and in fact the better gear you have more of penalty it is to use in crucible. So what's the point? There is no reward for getting legendary and exotic items. And certainly no reward for grinding out upgrading them. Also, There is very little benefit to this gear in the repetitive and uninspired PVE game play. If there isn't any rewarding game play for my current character then what motivation is there to go through it all again with a different character? I mean, pvp doesn't matter. Pve is the same thing over and over again and doesn't provide anything rewarding in the end anyway. It all become sadly clear yesterday during crucible play where a level 7 player with an uncommon fusion rifle that had no upgrades with base damage of 79 killed me in one shot when I shot him at the same time from the same distance with the pocket infinity exotic and only took out his shields. This happened multiple times. And it wasn't just me, he was wiping out everyone with ease. So what's the point of playing destiny at all? There is no reward for anything. Peace out destiny. You wasted enough of my time and money. Sorry bungie....big fail. Unless the crucible balance is truly fixed I don't even see much point in playing new content. I mean for what, to get a new exotic that is so nerfed in the crucible that I'm better off using the crucible balance buff for uncommon or rare instead.
