I was one of those people are complained about the boss being able to be cheesed so much. I'm lost as to what you're referring to by saying I ruined the raid for myself though? Not being able to derp Atheon off the edge is no big deal, just takes a few rounds of going through the portal to kill him. With any competent team that's a cake walk and decent to good groups should hardly have any more trouble completing it than normal. Each role is easy to learn, like I can do any role needed no problem. I welcome a challenge, I don't understand why so many other gamers are avoiding a decent challenge so much. For me one of the biggest joys of playing video games have come from overcoming challenges, and not being good at something until I've mastered every aspect of it. It gives far more of a sense of accomplishment rather than making it through one portal and abusing stupid AI to finish the last boss in the end game content and supposed "hardest content" in the game. It makes the claim of the VoG being hard (even on hard settings) a joke, which makes the Vex QQers who use "difficulty of VoG" as an excuse look stupid. Some people make me laugh, you get a group to go through one portal, throw a few grenades, and you think that you deserve the mythoclast for it. I'd beat it the hard way just for the 4th piece of raid gear for variety in exotics, worth it to me. I already have a plan for how to do the last boss fight with ease even with random teleportation. It just requires some cooperation, which is easy when you're in a decent clan. For those that aren't, considering the genre of the game, maybe you should find some friends to group with to enhance your fun and be able to complete END GAME content easier. I find it hard to have pity for those who don't care to socialize enough to have people to do the events with, it's not hard to find a group and make some friends. That's usually what online games like this involve, especially any that have difficulty to them where cooperation is necessary. Edit: There's two types of gamers, those who still value a challenge and will welcome it and those who want to exploit and cheat their way through every challenge. I can't stand playing with the latter, when grouping with them they always want to sit in a corner and make things take much longer than they should instead of doing it the fun way and playing the normal way. I can't imagine what it must be like to play a game and not have any interest in being better at it, but simply to do what any poorly skilled gamer can do to complete challenges. I'd have to ask myself what the point is behind playing it, as I wouldn't be improving my own skills or having as much fun. I've done both the legit way and cheesed on just about everything, and I must say that cheesing is ALWAYS more boring and not even necessary. I love the tears from easy moders. If your a level 30 and you don't know how to work a relic shield. You shouldn't be in a raid. Everyone has done sword of crota. It's the same move set. Practice and learn it. I'm all for this new patch, I know my team and my I will not have any issues.

I wish they would of patched this earlier, now a ton of people did this and got the vex pretty much free. I hope next dlc will have no cheats to get the raid hard gun so everyone will have to do it legit.

In one of my parties on hard we had everyone with maxed gala's and we fired all of them at atheon and it was done in one portal. It's still easy at least for my group as long as we get the first tele done right. I've done the atheon pushing as well and i found it literally took the same amount of time as pushing him off as it does with one portal and all galas aimed at atheon. This update isn't really that impactful to me in the least but I believe it should of been this way at the start.

They would have noticed the Atheon bug anyway buddy, you think they don't keep track of how long it takes someone to drop a boss? Or that the system doesn't take note when the boss goes from full to zero health in 2 seconds. Bungie is ruining the raid by changing the mechanics that make teamwork necessary to the raid. I don't need a team of friends who work well together and know specific jobs if everybody has to know how to do everything because of some bullshit RNG mechanism. They might as well add MM to the raid at this point.

With you bro. Don't see how it's an exploit when it's an actually tactic. Pushing off an enemy is a tactic, just as much as it was getting on the sniper towers during the templar fight. Half these idiots haven't done the raid on hard, hell let alone normal probably. I just want the helmet and I can't get lucky enough to get it so you can bet your ass I'm going to do things to make it quicker. Just another way they want to control how we play a game.
