If you've competed the daily missions and done everything else you can think of to get ascendant materials and still need more then give this site a go ;) Destinypublicevents.com -for when you've got nothing else to do ;) (I've gotten a lot of shards and energy doing public events but keep in mind they're not always guaranteed and you should get there a minute or two early and wait around a few after, best to farm ingredients while waiting)
