If Bethesda Made Destiny...

Bethesda is known for their open world games (Skyrim, Fallout etc.). If they made Destiny... How good would Destiny be? Edit: Most of these seem negative, so why is everyone complaining they want an open world game? Edit 2: Destiny has a large amount of bugs too... What makes Bethesda games worse when it comes to bugs?

Still waiting for Bethesda to make a game as good as Morrowind. Skyrim was better than Oblivion, but Morrowind is easily the best game I ever played. To answer the OP: * The tower would be a jail cell. * You'd spend more time arranging your hoarded items than earning them. * The Hunter's Guild would secretly meet under the deck near the Archon Priest. * The Titan's Guild would pay you Glimmer to clear out rats from a loot cave. * The Warlock's Guild would give you a garden where upgrade materials grow. * Your ghost would sometimes get stuck on an obstacle while trying to follow you. * Some ships visiting the tower would fly backwards. * In Destiny 2, the mysterious "Nine" would be reduced to the "Eight". One of them would be shunned by the Awoken because he beat up the Queen's dad. * Exactly 16 exotic weapons would come from easy Darkness bounties. They'd be fun to mess with for 2 minutes and then they'd collect dust. * Awoken NPC's would call you "outlander". * You could beat strikes without firing a shot by sneaking through and dropping poison in the boss's inventory. * The Grimoire would include a thousand haikus by Michael Kirkbride, containing a secret code that revealed the Traveler once fathered aliens with the Darkness. * Ma'iq the Liar would be running around the patrol areas. * Xur's name would be Creeper and he'd trade for filled soul gems instead of strange coins. * Closing a Vex portal would mean spending 2.5 hours on the other side of it. * Every mission would be to a set of ruins. Hmmm... already true. * You could steal weapons from Banshee-44 when he wasn't looking. * After getting to level 3 with a faction, its leader would abdicate and make you the new leader. * The Black Garden would belong to Clavicus Vile. You would have a choice to kill the Black Heart after all. Walking away would net you a different rare weapon. * There'd be a "nothing equipped" option for each armor slot, and selecting that option across the board would make NPCs comment on your boldness or your decency, depending on their disposition. * You'd use your own crafted weapons in combat. Exotics would just be hanging on your wall for show. * You'd have to pay $5 for a sparrow armor DLC. * You'd be able to pause the game and change all your gear between trigger pulls. * You could kill the Speaker and move into his apartment. * There'd be mud crabs on Venus and cliff racers on Mars. * The crucible quartermaster would have the voice of the Adoring Fan. * Exo vendors would sell Skooma under the table. * You'd be able to jump from the Cosmodrome to Meridian Bay wearing the Boots of Bloody Bounding and using two scrolls of Blinding Speed. Remember to levitate or use featherfall before you land so you survive. * Sheogorath would run the Trials of Osiris. The winner would get a bounty on their head and a gun that shoots backwards.

      • It would be amazing. The world would be bursting with characters, lore, big things to do and little things to do. It would have amazing DLC and it would have lastability to the end of days. On the other hand it would freeze, break and be frustratingly unreliable. The storyline would lead to an "epic" battle where the fate of the entire universe rests on the good guys winning....... which will be 5 good guy NPCs fighting with you against 5 bad guys. Hardly epic. Love Bethesda games though. Fallout for life.

If Bethesda made Destiny it would actually be worth $60

        • Bethesda is by far the best gaming company in my opinion. (: Sorry for all those that disagree, fallout is the best game I've ever played.

Well let's see. Evil within...Horrible story...good game play. Wolfenstein.....fun for 20 hrs max ESO.....Medicare game that you pay to play. Dishonored.....good game...worth 20 hrs of play. Nothing substantial since skyrim and it was single player. Chances are Destiny would have been on a monthly billing cycle and not worth the original $60.

            • I think they should of at least done a brainstorm together. When I first heard about destiny all I thought was skyrim in space with guns and blue gold.

            • Love the idea, but the problem is, there are too many CoD scrubs who couldnt keep up. Destiny was dumbed down for them. Now, you get legendaries... exotics easy... everyones lvl 28+. The scrubs just want another trashy shooter...any RPG elements in this game have been gutted. Sad. So much for the 10 year plan they had. Ill probably go back to BF4.

              • yes to the openworld style that Bethesda are known for, but the combat would mean the guns in Destiny would feel like they're made of wet paper towels.

                    • If Bethesda made destiny the only differences would be: the world would be larger, the story would be the same (with grimor cards required to be found throughout the world), and it would be single player. So no Bethesda making the game would not make it better. To answer edit 2; Bethesda games are naturally glitchy, destiny has no glitches that I've seen just server issues. If Bethesda made it there would be glitches in addition to server problems.

                    • If it wasn't for ESO, I would agree with this thread. Bethesda's head studio's first attempt at an MMO fell quite flat. Other than that, I love Bethesda so very much.

                      • I was actually expecting Destiny to be similar to their games. Like I thought each planet would be like SkYrim except with guns and space shit. This is why I am most disappoint with Bungle.

                        • I would sacrifice PvP for a true open-world MMO/FPS/RPG made by Bethesda (coming from a huge Fallout and Elder Scrolls fan)
