little red raiding hood

Once there lived an eager gamer who wore a little red raiding hood. The hood looked so good on this gamer that every just called them little red raiding hood. Little Red was about to leave for home from work one day when their boss handed them a check and said, "It's nearly September 9th! Take this and go down to Bungie's house tonight to pick up Destiny!" Little Red gladly took on the mission. In years growing up Little Red learned to love Bungie like a wise grandma. Over the summer Little Red had even visited "grandma" Bungie for a week at a time, laughing at her silly Wizard tales and watching her knit a wonderful new sweater to keep Little Red warm for the coming fall and winter. In anticipation, Little Red put on their finest clothes and began to head down to Bungie's house early so that not a single one of their fun stories would be missed! On the trip to Bungie's house, Little Red was stopped by a game publisheR, known to some as AV or "The Wolf" to some, who asked, "What are you so excited for, Little Red?" "I'm headed to Bungie's house to hear some amazing stories and cozy up next to the fire and learn and play!" Replied Little Red. "Wow! That sounds fun! What's that in your hands, Little Red?", AV asked. "Oh this? Just a few dollars! Some to help Bungie afford the house and some more just in case I run into trouble!" AV grinned quickly but did not show it to Little Red, for he had a sinister idea. "Oh, that's wonderful little red! I wish you the best of luck!" "Thank Y-" "By the way, Little Red, on your way maybe you should check out the next CoD game! I hear that if you preorder it your trip to Bungie's house will be even better!" AV interrupted. Little Red waved goodbye and went on their way. "He seemed a little bit pushy, but I suppose if the preorder really gets me Blacksmith it will only make things better!" Little Red thought to them self. And so Little Red paused for a few minutes to check out the Preorder slips on the way to Bungie's house. While Little Red paused, AV moved hastily onto Bungie's doorstep. Knocking at the door. "Who is it?" Inquired Bungie, hard at work in the next room polishing off their latest tale. "Just your favorite customer, Little Red!" Replied AV in his best voice. "Oh, just come on in! Well be ready for you in a moment!" Replied Bungie. AV opened the door and slinked into the studio. In a flash of claws and teeth, AV shredded apart the unsuspecting Bungie staff. Consuming some of the employees, and only allowing a few to escape (albeit with their mouths taped shut). From the outside one might have spotted Joseph Staten and Marty O'Donnell crawling out, their mouths bound and their hands tied behind their backs. After AV had it's fill, it realized that Little Red would be there any moment. AV instructed what staff it hadn't devoured this, "Quickly! Give me the game so Little Red won't be suspicious!" One of the poor remaining staff members replied, "We can't! When you tore apart or staff you bumped into it and shattered it! We can't agree on how to fit it back together anymore!" This was a serious dilemma for AV. Without a product to sell, Little Red would never get close enough to fulfill the plan. He came up with a solution: "Okay then, I want you to take whatever is left and piece it together in whatever way I can pass off as the game you showed when they visited. OR ELSE ILL EAT YOU UP TOO!" to emphasize the point, AV flashed his $500 million fangs at the scared remnants the studio. They worked furiously, and under the threat of their lives they pieced together a facade oh the game they had intended to deliver before. When Little Red finally made it to the door, AV searched briefly for Urk but found his voice had been torn out in the melee. "Who can welcome our guest?! They will recognize my antics if I greet then and turn away!" The only willing soul, DeeJ, spoke up: "I'll greet them. I've done it once or twice when Urk was out!" AV was satisfied with this and sent DeeJ to open the door. "Welcome Guardian!" DeeJ said. "Come in and see our game! Become legend! Sorry about no day-one reviews, THE GAME just would seem RUINED and we can't HELP the reviewers understand the full deep player driven content. excuse US for that." While his hidden message to turn away was clever, it was lost because Little Red had already gotten accustomed to his usual roundabout and inconclusive way of speaking. "Was that Joe Staten and Marty O'Donnell I saw running down the path back there? I couldn't tell, they wouldn't say anything to me except 'NDA' or something like that." Little Red asked. "No, they left on their own to purse new ventures. You might say they were hungry for their next big meal, like wolves on the hunt." Replied DeeJ quietly and after great pause. Still Little Red was unaware of the danger that lay ahead and entered the studio. "I don't know why I feel so off right now. I usually love going to Bungie's place! Must be an off day." Little Red wondered to their self. From behind a door marked 'Destiny Dev Team' the voice of AV rang out muffled. "Leave the 60 on the table, I've left out the game for you on the counter." "Odd, you're acting strange bungie. I remembered you as very receptive and personal with the community. Come out so I can see you." Little Red demanded. "I can't right now, I'm busy fine tuning the next stages of your legend!" Replied AV. Little Red glanced around for a second, then peaked into the doorway where AV sat in the shadows. "Alright, I'll start now and see what you've made for me." little red relented as they set down the check on the counter and picked up the game. Moving into the shadowy room, Little Red sat down and played. For Hours and Hours Little Red played. After a whole, little red said, "What few planets you have!" "The better to keep you focused with!" Replied AV. "What few classes and races you have!" Remarked Little Red. "The better to keep things pure and refined with!" Snapped back AV. "What limited story you've displayed!" "The better to charge you money for in December!" Cackled AV. In that moment Little Red finally looked over to the dark corner where it thought Bungie sat, only to discover a monster staring at it! AV took no delay and pounced upon Little Red, taking another 40 dollars and tying Little Red up to be devoured slowly. "Oh you silly fool! I'll keep you tied here until your friends come and fall for the same trick! And the ones who don't come here will meet their demise as well when this DLC drops and I can finally devour a little piece of you all again! Oh how naive you were! I'll keep taking bites out of you and your friends and their friends to come until you all realize you've been eaten alive by me, too far digested to become whole again!" Little Red cried and screamed! "This doesn't have to be how it happens!! Just fix he things! Use the money I gave you and empower the talented staff at your disposal! Make it good and we won't have to be chained here! You can still be good!" AV chuckled as he opened the blinds showing the work floor of the studio. In horror Little Red realized how the teams' various heads had been devoured and their bodies left to wander aimlessly with no coordination. "That simply isn't an option, my dearest Little Red! You see I've already gotten my profit, and your unsuspecting friends will think you've gotten so into this game they too will come down and be devoured by me. You should've known but your optimism blinded you, and here again you beg me for changes knowing full well I have nothing to gain not the ability to comply. Your fate is sealed, Guardian. See you in 3 months." AV stated, then walked out of the office and slammed the door behind him. From his chains Little Red could hear the sounds of the next person coming to be greeted by DeeJ and the impostor AV playing as Bungie, and in that moment Little Red fell into a deep depressed sleep. Hope was lost. Moral of the story: don't let big money publishers get into bed with your precious geandma.
