[b]IMPORTANT REASON FOR LEAVING FOLLOWS: [/b] [spoiler]Obviously this wasn't a simple decision as honestly I don’t like leaving online communities, the last guild in my last PvP mmo had a pretend party with both me and our rival guilds, and it was awesome. (I even got to 1v1 their leaders which was awesome). But I knew that I wouldn’t be able to impact their lives anymore and as a figurehead leaving them would leave them somewhat stranded (they ended up disbanding a couple months down the line). So doing this isn’t the easiest for me – I hate leaving any online community that I’m part of. You see one of my problems is that I have an addictive nature, thank god I haven’t tried out drugs yet because I really don’t think I could get off of them. Hopefully you can see by what I’m saying that I was addicted to Destiny. Sure owning every exotic in the game was a great feat but at what cost, friends told me that they didn’t see me anymore, I’ve become a hermit. I even ended up ignoring a girl that had a thing for me because well I just didn’t text her, I was just playing destiny. What had more of an effect was when I realised how art work I hadn’t gotten done because of this, and man I love drawing and shit but I nearly broke down when I realised I had gotten rusty due to my immense time playing video games like Destiny. 19 years old, no job and losing my most beloved skill. Coming back from Holiday I felt refreshed, I purposely didn’t play Destiny despite being back and landed myself a couple interviews and even went on a work trial (it was crap but its still progress). I played basketball with my friends and visited my grandparents (plus played some other games). It was the small things in life that I was missing out on sitting on that couch. When I did try Destiny again I could feel it gripping on me, it was hard to shake off. I had to decide between wasting my potential or improving myself for the rest of my life. I can’t play Destiny anymore without risking losing my future. It’s sad isn’t it? I’m looking back on the months playing and wondering where did it all go… I’m honestly trying to not get teary eyed while typing this *puts on shades to hide my eyes*. Now going forward in my life, as of my last Xur update I will be trading in Destiny (as well as Far Cry 4). This doesn’t mean I’ll be totally gone, like I said I like to do art/digital art and I’m considering making my own exotic equipment that I could post onto the forums in the future. Plus I am on other games as well so there’s that (I’ll post below). It’s a long road ahead for me and I hope my future is as bright as I believe it to be.
