The real worrying message Bungie is sending.

With this upcoming hot fix people are either going to love the patch or hate it, which isn't something that is unusual. In my opinion the VM was overpower and I don't think you will find many people arguing about that and that a hot fix in some way was necessary to address it. However, I do feel they nerfed it too much especially when it comes to the PvE side and it doesn't stand out as much. You can almost say the same thing about the Autorifle hot fix, however with that fix it makes another popular weapon much weaker that is Atheon's Epilouge now they didn't mention it by name, but 99% of us knew, which weapon this patch is going to effect the most. But other autorifles will feel the same power reduction Now with those fixes it will please the PvPer's and I would say a majority of them didn't have the VM, but almost 90% of the people used Autorifles. So it is a patch that should effect everyone equally to a certain extend unless your are a AE or VM user. Now with these two hot fixes a really bad pattern is starting to appear from Bungie and most people will know that is that it is catering to the PvP guys, which is a worrying sign. Go back 18 days and one thing we will all see is the the constant debate around the Suros Regime obviously that debate completely disappeared some two weeks ago and why is that? Simply put they patched the gun with out patching it by just making it readily available to everyone through Xur thus effectively fixing it by succumbing to the pressure of the community. Now comes the juicy part you see you can't buy or get Atheons Epilogue or the VM through engrams. No you can only get them through playing/completing the Raid, Destiny's only end game part. By effectively nerfing/taking the guns power, because of PvPer's Bungie has completely given into the PvPer's for a second time in in less then a month. Instead of actually encouraging the PvPer's to raid and actually play their end game content, because of the rewards that await them for playing/completing it with better and more powerful guns they simply gave into the PvPer's. Now their can only be one explanation and that is that PvP is their main concern at this point and need to keep those guys happy as they are the much more vocal community, while PvEr's simply are getting the bad end of the deal. This could very easily mean that the PvE aspect of the game is dying and the bigger problem for the people still playing PvE including myself is that once the PvPer's end up leaving for AS:U and CoD we will be left with patches that we didn't want as they didn't improve our gameplay.

  • Name one person who uses a dedicated scout, or pulse rilfe for PVE. I'll wait. The Auto nerf was for PVE as well. The VM was too good, "if you don't have a VM, then you're under powered." This is unacceptable. Their shouldn't be one option for top tier weapons. Don't mention the skill in getting it, it's off topic.
