Well, I thought I got all my ranting out in my first Rant Mode post, but I guess with this new update, I need a place to vent.
So many things wrong now that it's hard to pick where to start. Lets just start with the Mythoclast.
I've had my two Mythoclasts for about 2 weeks now. Got them on my first and second kills of Atheon on hard mode (both legit, no bullshit walk him off the edge needed). I was like a kid in a candy store. As an owner of the Mythoclast, I figured you fools would want some first-hand experience with the gun post-nerf. I haven't really tested PvE damage yet, but in PvP (Crucible for you non-MMO CoD kids) the Mytho has become useless.
Pause real quick so I can explain something. Half of the people complaining about how OP the Mythos was were just upset because they couldn't even beat Atheon on normal without pushing him off the edge after an hour of attempts. Don't get me wrong. The gun was extremely strong. But so was the SUROS. So was the Shingen-E. So was the Epilogue. With the proper skill, you can beat the Mythos fairly easily. At range, the Mythos handles a little weirdly with the hit detection. So if you're quick on the trigger and accurate with your headshots, you would probably beat me at that range. Close range it did melt people. But at that range, I would lose to the wambo combo of Shot Package and Aimfinder shotguns (aiming decreases shot spread and increases effective range). A lot of the power of the Mythos is in the skill of the player. I played multiple Rumble games on my Warlock while I was leveling him up. Using a Cydonia AR-2, I beat a Mythos user 22-5 to 11-10.
TL,DR: The Mythos was strong, but didn't need that hard of a nerf.
Pre-hotfix, my Mythos hit around 51 a headshot. I agree with the rest of the ragers that this was too high (even though my SUROS was only hitting 6 less per headshot). Post-hotfix, my Mythos hits about 31 a headshot, my SUROS hits around 38, and my Shadow Price hits around 26. Basically what I'm getting out of this hotfix is that Bungie hates the hardcores such as myself and wants the casuals to be able to get kills. Is this what gaming has come to? Cater to the bad people because they're too lazy to get good gear and beat things legit? -blam!- over the good people (check my stats if you think I'm not in that category) with random Crucible loot, repeat useless loot in raids, Engrams, and Cryptarch level?
Next topic: Crucible loot.
It's honestly complete and utter bullcrap that I don't get rewarded for going consistently 3.00 K/D and above in my Rumble games, while kids who (real examples here) go 11-15 get a SUROS Regime and 3-20 get a Last Word. I have both of those guns already, but the principle of the matter is still what gets under my skin. Why should I even try and win if it has no outcome on my loot? I've played 761 games of Crucible across my level 30 Hunter, level 27 Titan, and level 24 Warlock. Of those 761 games, I've been awarded 2 Exotics. On my Hunter who has 609 of those games alone, I have a K/D of 2.21 overall. Just in Rumble (the playlist I actually care about and try) I have a K/D of 2.77. 3 Marks of the Unbroken (finish a game with at least 15 kills and 0 deaths) and 4-5 unawarded Sum of All Tears (win a Rumble game with a score greater than the sum of the rest of the players). And yet I see people with 0.5 K/Ds and like 50 games in Crucible getting more loot than me. I'm at Rank 7 with Crucible. Surely that should mean something? But, just like Cryptarch rank, I notice absolutely no difference.

Cryptarch.
The Cryptarch rank is just another way to piss off the hardcore players. My Cryptarch is at Rank 52. I still don't see any increase in drops of Legendary Engrams. I've seen 3 Legendaries in the past month. One gave me a piece of Hunter armor (such an upgrade for my level 30 hunter), and 3 Ascendant Energies and 2 Ascendant Energies. I don't need any more Ascendant materials cause that's all I get from the raid any more. I need Warlock gear. But noooooo. That would make too much sense. In my humble opinion, the Random Class for Legendary Engrams needs to be removed. The Exotic being for a random class I can deal with. But getting hunter gear on my Warlock is just another reason that I'm probably leaving this train wreck of a game and going back to WoW or Diablo or the new Borderlands.
Next topic:
Raid loot.
I understand giving multiples of items, but I think after you get 3 Chatterwhites or 3 Aspect of Glass (hard mode ship) or 3 Timebreakers, that should just be removed from the loot tables for your characters. There's nothing more frustrating than downing Atheon on hard after about an hour of (legit, not pushing him off the edge) attempts only to get 3 Shards and yet another Chatterwhite or another Aspect of Glass. I don't mind getting multiples of weapons so I can just throw them to my other characters or dismantle for more Ascendant materials. But getting multiples of useless things that don't even give me anything for dismantling them is just a slap in the face with Bungie's money-hungry dick.
To summarize:
Mythos got too big of a nerf. Raid and Crucible loot needs tuning. Cryptarch needs to be relooked at. Bungie is turning into Activision (aka money-driven train wreck) and ruining what, at launch, I thought had the potential to be one of the best console games I've played in a long time.
