Class Breakdown and roles for PVE, (Just My Opinion)

I see so many people saying that Hunters are only good for PVP, but this simply is not true. I make no claims towards being an expert, but I decided to do a breakdown on how my and my friends have found the best roles for each class in PVE, given that the team consists of a Hunter, a Titan, and a Warlock. We have discovered that: Titan=best for Defense and are versatile, Defenders can provide shields for the party and Strikers can take out large numbers of enemies at once, both can take more hits and make an effective wall against adds. Defenders are better for making a wall against the Boss's attacks and Striker can Deal massive damage to the boss in one Super, though dong so is too risky as most bosses have a one-hit kill melee attack if any player gets too close. Best Role= Dodging enemies' attacks, killing adds and distracting the boss as they switch back and forth. Defenders also make great medics. Warlocks= Best at DPS/battle-flow control. VoidWalker super deals massive damage and with the vortex talent it can lay an effective roadblock. The Solar and Vortex grenades also make great roadblocks that depending on talents and gear can create a DOT AOE. All of the grenades are based solely on damage, using a super and sunbreakers, a sunsinger can make a huge area of damage for the Boss, by using this effectively, you can really control the battle flow, by making high traffic areas kill zones. Best Role= hitting the boss with good DOT AOE, allowing him to take the boss down quicker or to switch to Add control when he gets his super, but usually focusing on the boss is the best Hunters=are best at sitting back and doing add control. hunters should be the last on the team to die. relying mainly on their guns which should be high range and high damage per bullet. Using the grenades like the trip and swarm grenades as effective walls when enemies get to close and saving their supers for when they are about to get swarmed or for support when their team needs some quick orbs of light. This actually makes them the second most effective support class, (second only to the Titan's Defender) Best Role= Sniper. sit back and provide cover fire for your team, focus on adds, with a good sniper you can deal great damage to the Boss, but don't let this tempt you, if every one focuses on the boss you will all get overrun with adds. If you are good you might can finish off the adds and focus on the boss till the next wave comes, but don't forget your role! your team depends on you.

Also considering that I'm a level 26 with only a rare scout rifle due to I can not get a legendary to drop this is also the best way for me to stay alive as well. I've seen players rush in and just die over and over again and I'm stuck trying to revive them while trying not to get killed either. So I'll stick with being on a perch sniping away as my support for the team.

    • As I loyal titan striker I must say you have hit the nail on the head. Except for one thing. While our super may cause great damage to a boss, doing so is almost certain suicide due to a bosses melee and the close quarters nature of our class. Even for the most skilled Titans it's very risky.
