PvP gearing, scoring, and gaming. this is a bit to read. but vital!!!!

Hello again sinners! We have been doing a lot more clan PvP as of late. And there is some basic information that everyone needs to know when gaming with the Sinners; BASIC STRATEGY AND INFO - STOP SPRINTING: This is my first and number one rule for PvP, and I cannot stress this enough. Keeping your weapon at the ready ensures you are prepared to take on any enemies. - Pay attention to your radar tracker: Never stop glancing at your tracker. Half the time I'm playing I'm watching my tracker, and I never get snuck up on. - Stay on your side of the map: A lot of people think that running around to where the enemy spawns is going to get you kills. It isn't. It will get you killed though. Keep to the middle of the map and on your side. Let the enemy come to you. - Patience: Just relax. Wait for the enemy to make a mistake and then capitalize on it. - Grab the Heavy weapon ammo: Seriously guys. If you see heavy ammo spawn that should be your priority. Another thing about heavy weapon ammo is to Wait until your teammates get close before you grab it. It allows more people to have heavy weapons and a slaughter will ensue. I promise. - Find a weapon that works well for you and stick with it: Just because a weapon might have worse stats it doesn't mean its bad. In PvP, weapon stats are balanced. A Rare item is going to be just as good as a Legendary in PvP. If you like your gun then use it. - Fusion Rifles are not Sniper Rifles: Stop trying to hit people from across the map with your Fusion Rifle. It's just embarrassing for you. - When using the Pike, don't forget to use the lateral strafe: It's hilarious to watch people struggle to hit you when you are just bouncing around on the Pike. It makes dodging supers and rockets much easier. - Learn to use Blink if you are a Warlock or Hunter: It can confuse the living hell out of your enemies and will help you get away from any danger easier. - Never leave a match: this is a number one clan rule. It is essentially an act of treason on your friends and clan mates. Sinners do not abandon sinners. Even if you are being slaughtered you still should stick around for the end game rewards. You never know what Exotic weapon you might have gotten if you stayed. GEARING AND SCORING Gearing Gear and Weapons Good gear and weapon selection are imperative for the crucible. Now when I say good I mainly mean the effects of the gear and weapons. Damage and defense ratings are normalized in the Crucible. Weapons and gear keep their effects, such as, “This weapon reloads faster when the mag is empty” or for a piece of gear, “Increases reload speed with auto rifles.” Good is also subjective, so keep in mind you want to formulate a gear/weapon set that fits your play style in the crucible. I recommend keeping gear with effects you like, even if they’re those damn greens the Cryptarch won’t stop giving to you, because the attack and defense ratings aren’t as important for now. Scoring In standard play, player level, gear level, color and base damage/defense are useless in the crucible. (this is not the case in iron banner) all players, whether level 9 or level 29 have the same amount of health. Let's say 20,000 (false number used as an example) all armor has the same base modifier. A level 12 green chest plate will have the same defense as a level 26 exotic chest plate. And a level 9 auto rifle will do the same damage per bullet as a level 27 exotic auto rifle. The only perks that matter are class perks, and weapon and gear perks and modifiers. So start creating a PvP gear set out if your 2000 daily trash pickup. Keep your play style in mind. If you use your super and grenades a lot, pick up gear with intellect and strength to increase cool downs. Also find gear with perks that are relevant to said style. So level 9 green gauntlets with high strength and intellect with "grenade cool downs increase" is far superior to level 27 exotic gauntlets with less strength and intellect and useless perks. This goes the same with weapons. And impact damage is crucial! Impact is base damage per hit. Score on enemies is based on damage location of the damage. If a player has a health of 100, then a shot to the face is with 90. Center mass (chest) is worth 50. Legs and arms are worth 20. So obviously always aim for the head. And be sure to compensate for recoil. If your auto rifle pulls up heavy, aim between center mass and neck line as you fire. And finally... control scoring Scoring in control matches is NOT like previous shooters. Simply capturing flags will do almost nothing for your win. You can hold all 3 flags from start to finish and lose miserably. Score is based on kills per flag. Capturing a flag is worth anywhere between 50 and 75 depending on how many were on the flag as it was captured. More people capturing equals more points. A kill with no flag is with 50 points per kill. One flag is 100. Two flags is 150. And all 3 flags held grants a bonus damage modifier of 50 points, totaling to 300 points per kill. So make sure you focus on kills over control. And control closely behind. IN CLOSING Sorry this was so Damned long guys. But there is a lot that needed to be gone over. We are already worthy competitors in the crucible when running as a clan. And we will grow together as we game together. Adding skill to tactics multiplying exponentially. And with this information in mind we can and WILL be a PvP clan worthy of fear. thanks for reading sinners.
