secret portal in VoG

Does anyone knows how to activate the portal that is on the far left of the teleporting platform room (room after gorgons. And before the final boss room). All six of us made it to the portal but it didn't do anything any suggestion?

I believe it is there purely for cosmetic reasons, I have done my fair share of exploring in the teleporting platform room.

Yes i do know how to activate it. You activate it by playing $10 for a new 12 minutes story mission available in January. Please be hyped.
