Trading or Exchanging
So you get a Legendary Engram and your just so exited to get it decrypted. When you do you get an Exotic or Legendary piece of armor but for a different class Isn't that just so annoying. Yeah yeah I know it gives players a chance and reason to try out other classes but really? Do we have time to be getting these different characters to level 20? Do we really just want to get rid of that awesome piece of armor just for some ascendant shards or energy? Well this could be fixed just by adding a vendor who will exchange you item or even adding a trading system between Guardians.
Yes I know this may not be what you guys at Bungie are most concerned about but don't you want to keep your consumers happy and well interested in the game.

2 RepliesI think there was an auction house in Diablo lll, and because of very legitimate reason, it was shut down. So bungie would not bring in any trading or exchange system in the game.

Yes you have the time to get the other toons to 20. I have all three of mine at 20, was not hard and did not take a long time to do either. The game does not need trading just so people could abuse it for easy item gains, or asking for obscene amounts of upgrade mats for it like is done in other games. The game is rng, so it is meant to be random and not predictable all the tiem in what you get. And you can either keep it and use a new toon or dismantle it..not a big deal really.

6 RepliesProblem with trading between guardians is that there aren't enough guns/items to sustain that kind of system. Would make the rewards meaningless because you already traded for the gear you wanted. Bungie wants loot to encourage you to play more. Maybe at some point there will be enough variation that it will make sense, but I doubt it.

1 ReplyEdited by Candain_Ruto: 10/13/2014 7:05:25 PMCould see this as working as long as both parties are in agreement with the terms (Or items rather) so to discourage hackers from stripping accounts of gear, no limit to trades, can trade weapons, armor, mats, and even currencies as some people get desperate for glimmer and marks (Like me). And sub items such as ammo synths, and glimmer bonus items. Visual window of what the other player is offering and a chat box as to bargain with said player (Played Team Fortress 2 on Steam, Steam run cross game trades and same game trades, even account items such as digital trading cards through this system) this would definitely help players such as myself who play three hunters all the time. Got to admit I hate doing it but no getting enough raid gear to hit 30 because the drop chance for shard vs everything else is exceedingly high. I have 30 something shards vs my 5 energies after raiding with all my characters.

One trade per month per account (not character) and only one item for an item of the same class. Exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, and so on. One trade per month is a great place to start. With being that limited the exploitation that will take place will be very limited so that safe guards can be put in place that will control those attempting to do all the things those people do. Then as time passes and securities are put in place maybe a full market place could be implemented. But, until then, one trade really doesn't seem that bad. Just my opinion though.
