So rumor has it that the Vex Mythoclast is getting a nerf (No I don't have it.....yet) due to all the continuous crying.
My question is are you -blam!-ing serious?
The Community gets HANDED a TOP TIER weapon [SUROS Regime] and now that they can't get handed the Vex Mythoclast and it's actually an EARNED Exotic; people are crying like babies and want it nerfed. That's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard.
Crucible ISN'T the only part of this game and the Vex Mythoclast CAN be earned by everyone through vigorous means.
Shotguns are still OHKO'ing.
Fusion Rifles are still OHKO'ing
But everyone wants to target the Vex Mythoclast because they can't get it, because they don't have the patience or smarts to figure out how to beat the Raid Mode.

Want to know why the VMC is smacking you and making you cry like a baby in Crucible when your SUROS doesn't cut it anymore after you were just spanking some Level 4 with it?
In the Regular Crucible the Level Advantage is Disabled. Thus, only Impact and ROF matter. Your Gear's stats can't pad the Impact from the VMC and you get destroyed. Bottom Line.

My Rebuttal: Stop. Because Hand Cannons, Fusion Rifles, and Shotguns can dish out the same TTK that the Vex can in the given conditions. Learn to outstrafe the damn gun instead of trying to rush out just because you have the SUROS and think you're entitled to a kill in every gun fight. Sick of people wanting to be carried through stuff. I've gotten into gunfights with the VMC and actually felt the competitiveness of the game for once where I had to adapt, rather than trading every kill.

The SUROS and VMC are both EXOTIC and should have the advantage of such. They're to be EARNED guns, not distributed like Green and Blue Engrams.

1 ReplyI got Mythoclast by joining the VoG at the Athion and being dead for the whole fight. I get why people like it but it is not my favourite exotic. I like exotics like Bad Juju, Thorn or Universal Remote. On my first PvP game ever with Mythoclast I got 7 kills, when on my first ever match with Universal Remote, I got 32 kills.

Ive only been doing raids for 2 weeks and today i unlocked black hammer/hawkmoon/ and vex mythoclast if this makes you feel better

43 RepliesThis is stupid, you are arguing that anybody can get it if they learn how to raid. Some of us have lives and have no time to spend hours upon hours to level to 26+, get a group of 6 then go through the longest mission on the hardest difficulty just to get one gun so that they can pvp, no, thats stupid. I work a lot, I have no time for all this. I go into crucible a lot and like being able to have fun. My idea of fun in pvp on a fps is being able to win due to my better skill. The vex mythos is retarded, even if I go for head shots only I can still get outgunned by someone who aims for my body, just because they had the time to go through the hardest thing in the game and get a gun. That is stupid, this whole post is stupid, I hope you never work in games design. The whole idea of pvp in an fps like this is for competitive players, if the vex doesn't get nerved every guy with the time to get one will have one and the crucible will be impossible for new players, imagine running into a game where you have your baryon mac pulse rifle and all of a sudden the whole enemy team has this OP weapon, you would need to be really good to beat them or just suffer death after death... Not only would this gun stop new/low level players from enjoying pvp but they probably wouldn't stick around in Destiny that long because of it and the player base would die out eventually. If the player base dies out then the games 10 year plan goes out the window and Destiny was a waste of money and the new franchise itself goes down the drain. Shotguns are annoying but its not hard to look at your radar and grenade or triple jump/glide up as high as you can and hip fire. Shotguns can only kill close range and you have to charge fusion rifles up. I could easily snipe you by the time you popped out with your fusion rifle. Its not about being carried through, the crucible is supposed to be a pvp environment where level advantages are disabled and its an equal playing field for whoever has the highest skill and technique in the game to win, which is what an fps should be. The only way to get the vex mythos is to be a high level, so its a level advantage whether you like it or not and it threatens the franchise a lot.

27 RepliesThank you sooo much for noticing and acting immediately upon the most OP weapon ever made, the Vex Mytho. Im laughing so hard inside at all of you BK's who claimed it wasn't even a good weapon. The 34% is everything you need to know about how OP that gun was and their testers obviously agreed unanimously. Im ecstatic about the shotgun range nerf as well, perfecly done. No more invectives and invisible hands shooting slugs 15 feet away. The auto rifle nerf will allow more TTK in gunfights and allow scouts to actually compete at a medium range consistantly, which is also well done. Anyone who keeps crying about these fixes are obviously casuals that cant use a balanced weapon properly and complete. Sorry to spoil your fun but skill has to come into play at some point with a bungie game, nuff said

4 RepliesSorry, but all I´m seeing is "I still wanted to have a weapon that gave me an unfair advatnage over everyone else in the Crucible so I could win easy-peasy. I don´t have that advantage anymore, I can´t beat people unfairly now, so I´m going to take on the rest of the community". Good players shouldn´t need an OP weapon to do well in Crucible.

It's not the rate of fire, impact, fusion rifle bullets, or the fact that it's a primary and kills faster than a machine gun. It's all of these put together that infuriate people. Let's take the Last Word as an example. It's a full-auto handcanon that holds 8 rounds. It's kind of stupid. However, its impact and range are really low. It's a nifty gun--one worth wielding, but it's balanced. If they gave it the impact and range that other handcanons had, then the Last Word would be insanely infuriating. And about that whole "strafe" thing...you realize that all these guns have some crazy target acquisition, so even when you do strafe, the reticle will follow you ever so slightly. And it's not like the Mythoclast has 3 rounds a mag, which would make sense because it's only a [b]FUSION RIFLE[/b]. No, it's 21 rounds. I've been killed by one in an unbelievably short time. By the time I pull the trigger to fire, or dash to move out of the way, I'm dead. Am I saying make it horrible in PVE? No. I don't give a shit about that. Let it be a one-hit-kill in that case, I couldn't care less. Oh, and this may come as a shocker to you, but (surprise!), I encounter this gun at LEAST once in almost every game. It's actually the most popular exotic! Some people get it on their first few tries. Some people HAVE been doing hard VOG since its release, and still haven't gotten it. I'm not throwing a fit because I was killed one too many times in crucible. That's not it at all. I'm just pissed that in every goddamn game I play, SOMEONE has the Mythoclast, and they are at the top of the pyramid because they point and click.

Saying that I have more fun with other guns, so only pull it out if someone else on the other team is using one

I did vog hard, probably 20 to 25 times before i actually got the vex mythoclast, its a hard drop to get but it is soo worth it ( though sadly bungie did nerf it...) other then that i use it on a regular basis and it still kicks ass

Bungie, im really getting tired and annoyed by the fact that i have done the raid so many times and yet i have'nt gotten the vex yet but then when i ask my friends about it , they tell me they got it in there first few tries is something wrong with my game or what?

3 RepliesI completed the hard mode this weekend with both characters and unlocked: Fate Bringer, Corrective Measure, Vision of Confluence and the Vex Mythoclast. Can count on one hand the amount of times I've completed the hard mode.

i love the VOG. even though i didnt get mythoclast i still get such amazing stuuf. and its fun too. Destiny isnt about getting drops. its about teamwork and having fun. Now i know crota is a biiiggggg let down but atheon is boss
