Decrease damage Increase range Tighten spread Ideally I'd prefer shotguns play closer to primary. Currently it's an unwieldy zero range weapon for when Minotaurs get too close. For such an iconic weapon its role is garbage. In pvp it has its own set of issues. Forcing 2 shots (via decreased damage) would reduce bitching about corner hugging and benefit skilled players. Only an aimed headshot at close range should oneshot (traumatic force) as most armor defeats ball ammo. You can argue future shotguns have drastically increased kinetic energy, but it's abysmal range and damage falloff hints otherwise.
