Shed Some Light on our Armor

So you just got a new piece of gear. It has nice abilities encoded onto it, and decent attributes (+Discipline, etc.). But, what's this? Its light is lower than your current item. Is it going to be a downgrade when it's fully maxed out? Will it be a straight swap or actually be higher once if gets maxed? The only way to know is to level it up, potentially wasting materials. I propose that, much akin to the attack and defense stats, the light stat should have a current and a maximum value. This would allow us to know if a piece of armor is worth investing our time and materials in.

  • If I'm not mistaking all legendary gear caps at 27 light. I may be wrong on this. What I do know is all exotics and raid gear caps at 30 light. With that in mind the only time I would choose to switch from one legendary piece to another (non raid) would be if the passive bonuses were more to my liking since in the end it won't give me any more light then what I'm currently leveling. Hope that helps
