Just saying!!
I'm new to the Destiny scene and so far I like the game, just a little short, and the ending scene kinda suck'd. Not feeling the swap drop bull crap with the engrams. Also I haven't received one purple or yellow engram yet......do they even exist!?!?! I'm not bitter, just saying!
There's a lot of talk out there about how the game sucks. Wasn't there a Bata out? Why wasn't all these concerns addressed by the developers then? I can see why some folks are irate with the overall performance of the game. I would be too if I followed the franchise for 2 years. Looks like the game completion was a little rushed. Good way to lose fans. Just saying!!

The higher level you are the higher chance you have to find purple drops. I'm assuming you're around level 19 which is when I started to notice rare engrams were the only thing that dropped with an occasional green. But regarding another reply, purple engrams will only decrypt as purples or higher as of the 1.0.2 patch.
