has anybody tried resetting to factory defaults to fix persistent cattle/centipede/etc errors?

I had to do that when I first got Destiny; it would freeze on install. I'm about to try it, so I'll post results.

  • Welp, I uninstalled, reset to defaults, reinstalled, and now I'm getting a different error code. Booting Destiny sends me to the initial loading screen, it freezes there for 30 seconds or so, then boots me back to the dash with this message:
Please try again. For some reason Destiny took too long to start (0x8027025a)
what in the literal -blam!- is wrong with this shit. Tried hard reset, power cord reset, neither did jack.

    • When i get those errors I unplug the power from my xbox and after 30 seconds I plug it back in and after starting Destiny up, about 90% of the time I am able to log in. (Some times it takes 2 hard shutdowns)
