Exotic Weapon Bounties: A community's opinion

Exotic weapon bounties are fine as they are requiring both PvP and PvE elements to complete.

Exotic weapon bounties are pushing me towards a gameplay mode/method I don't want to play, and should be adjusted to be completed without having to go into a mode I don't have fun playing.

WTF? is an exotic weapon bounty?

1. Bounties are fine requiring both PvP and PvE 2. Bounties need to be changed to allow a method for completion in BOTH PvP and PvE.
The way they are currently is a mixture of PvE and PvP is required to complete most bounties. (One bounty, both types of gameplay required) The suggested change is for there to be a path for each bounty for PvP and PvE. (One bounty, your choose PvP or PvE)
I have seen a lot of anger over this issue on here. Putting it to a vote to see how everyone feels, not just a few people. EDIT:After reading a lot of feedback I feel:
Almost every post against this has been either "It's not that bad," or "then you don't deserve it." What I think is happening is people that have responded this way do not understand that many of us players object to PvP on principle. There are other people that have some kind of rage monster inside of us that we do not want to let out. Some people come on the forums asking to Nerf the cause of their rage, other people would rather not even enter the domain that awakens the rage monsters. Now we have one last group of people that want to feel special because they have something unique. Some of these people want genuinely to have something that others don't, but the cynicism in me, awakened by the cryptarch, believes that a vast majority of these players want an advantage in PvP. I don't believe it is fair for PvE players, that will become the core of the community, should be punished for PvP players wanting to keep an advantage that was obtained from design flaws from Bungivision not understanding the community. Especially since when loot farming has been so frowned upon, mostly by PvP players. Also factions need to accept both kinds of marks. Players should be able to have fun and an opportunity to obtain all loot while not being handicapped by preferences, or pushed towards a particular game mode they do not enjoy. I want to see all guardians excel in their endeavors, and not be hindered by an unfair loot system in both the crucible and strikes. And most of all people: Have Fun!
/EDIT Constructive criticism and intelligent debate are welcome, hatred and flaming are not. I know I am asking a lot...

 • Well said and a constructive idea. I personally like the exotic bounties as they stand now. The mix of pvp and pve is more involved and enjoyable to me. I feel like i have accomplished something upon completion. That said, i understand the debate that ppl feel forced into playing pvp and dont want to. I have several thoughts on the subject. First all of the pvp portions on the bounties are in not way extremely difficult. I have a friend who completed thorn and his lifetime kdr for control hovers around 0.5. So skill should really not be the limiting factor, and if it IS, then maybe you just dont deserve one? Maybe? People that have played mmos before understand the uniqueness of gear and that if everyone ran around with the same BIS weapons it would devalue them significantly. Keep in mind these are exotics. This brings me to my second point. I understand if you loathe pvp to point you dont want to complete an exotic chain... but you feel that you are missing out of part of the game. Luckily, it is not the only way to get exotics. There is Xur and his exotics he has sold (weapons) are marginally better than most of the quest line exotics i have acquired (thorn and invective for sure). ------- One thing we should all think about, regardless of what side of the fence you are sitting on: keep in mind that if bungie were to change existing or future quest lines for exotics, you would be taking away content from ppl that enjoy them as they are, make them easier to obtain, and devalue the achievement. You would also devalue the bonus of a player that enjoys both aspects of the game. So the question really comes down to what is worse: forcing some to play an aspect of the game they do not want to? Or taking away perhaps the only cross pve/pvp content from players that enjoy it.
