The community is pissed, even those of us that still hope that there is a way to right the ship. But we need answers... after reading the fire storm that was yesterdays forums I need to know that there is more content on the way that is free and unique or they need to just come out and say that this is what we get until Dec. expansion launch. Events don't count... they are not going to cut it...
If what we have is it... well, I guess I'll have to see what kind of mood I'm in come Dec. But I really feel like we were not given a complete game, it's my feeling and opinion. And that is what will influence my next purchase decision when it comes to DLC, I don't think I'm alone in that thinking.

Edit 2: Ok, so I think it's pretty obvious that there will be no response from Bungie, besides Deej's. I think it's unfortunate, and I'm bummed about it, but I'm moving on. The game is what it is, and as of this second I am still having a good time playing it... so that's what I'll do until it isn't fun anymore. Unfortunately, I can say that already at lvl 25 it is not AS fun as I had hoped. Usually, when playing an RPG progression game, it gets more fun as you get more powerful, but the repetition is starting to take it's toll on the game. Again, still playing but I just don't know if this game has the legs I had originally hoped and I firmly believe it is because a lot of content has been gutted, so it leaves a bad impression.

I like that smart changes are being made to balance things in PvP (I.e. auto rifles that out distance scout rifles at long range) The story, however, is really weak. We get little to no background on the races we're at war with. We arrive on mars and bam, there's cabal! Who are they? What's their history? Why are they here? They obviously don't like the vex... What's up with that? The hive, the fallen... Where do they come from? Why are they on earth and the moon? Why are there so many races in and around earth? Did humans overreach and bring doom upon themselves? So much is unexplained.. I know we didn't understand everything about halo at the end of the first game but they did good enough to let us know the lay of the land to give us the idea of what was going on and build upon that in the later titles. Right now, we're completely in the dark.. This story is unfolding like kill bill, but with far less excitement.
