A moment of silence for the "Death of Bungie"
Look I watched the vids with pyramid space ships .... cut scenes ... chests exploding with loot ... talk of faction wars ...
bought the game and season pass and I start playing and what do I see ???
1) no story
2) no cool space ship scenes
3) no loot popping out of chests
4) no purpose to factions
5) no player development or reason to care about anything
6) no NPC's
7) no stuff to keep me busy for a month let alone years (same daily grind)
8) expansions only fill the void left in the game for story (no passing lvl 30 in next year or so)
9) no response from Bungie on anything we care about
10) they ban players for accessing areas on a game they bought (cause it hurt bungie even more)
11) no chat system (great for not making new friends)
12) so on and so on ......
This my friends is false advertisement ... you can bet when the class action lawsuit rolls around I'm signing up.... and Bungie is dead to me .... hope the guy who decided to switch direction on Destiny is drawn an quartered
They can't fix it ... and before you say I'm some hater, I wanted this game to succeed as much as anyone .. bought white ps4 .. got season pass ... have destiny poster I just ripped off my wall ....
the fact is the problems came from Bungie and not Activision ... they can't fix it .. and the plug will be pulled on this game after the 2nd dlc (disk locked content) drops ...

11 RepliesI don't care what u say lol. I love this game. What they showed in videos is what they want Destiny to become. Remember they said they want to make this bigger than Halo. Sorry to disappoint you but nobody can get bigger than Halo on their first release, let alone overnight. Destiny can still get better and progress towards their vision of it. So far as long their team continues to support their franchise, just as they did with Halo.

Court battles? Legally they showed scenes. They never alluded it was in the game. It might be shown off as to what the game is capable of. Maybe what we didn't see was so oriented for the wrong demographic. What if they forget a thumb drive? Everything you are saying is hear say. No one is taking any video game company to court. Are you this bored? I am, I'm responding to you. It has the best graphics. If you were making a 10 year game.. Hey lets just blab out this entire story. Here's an analogy. A sitcom tv show. Once you start getting a lot of information to fast, well say bye to your show. Now the shows that go piece by piece are the winners. Are the ones that go to season 7. I'm so bored I'm responding to you You are a character and a half. This game is a brand new concept. Once they take something that's never been done before and dig in.. You will regret your words. 10 RepliesYou cant play the game 22 hours of the day for a month and then complain about content I love the game. No game has ever made me open up party chat and make as many friends as i have.. I LOVE the graphics, the feel of the world, the fights and i actually love the grind and loot system... Now what i do UNDERSTAND!!! The story has me interested beyond a doubt but the lack of available story at launch is the reason players "don't care" about the characters or the enemies. I also believe that the FIRST DLC was part of the original game and is being sold by Activision. The second DLC is still in production. No way they had all that content ready for launch... Over all though i give this game an 8.5 for elements and mechanics and a 9.5 for fun factor and playability! BOOM -blam!- you IGN stick with ur gamecube! If u love to play xbox one, come join TEAM VORTEX GAMING if u talk shit constantly then also go back to gamecube and bone sonic the hedgehog!

Lol But as to the other points, it's disappointing certain elements (such as the pyramid ships) aren't in the finished game - if some of the ideas were just concepts, then bungie should either have used a disclaimer at the time or not revealed them so early I also doubt it's the death of bungie, but they certainly walked a tightrope producing destiny, and only just pulled it off by the skin of their teeth. It could so easily have been a total disaster - though I guess to some people, it is!
