Spin metal and other items on planets are not being used. Why?
Hey Bungie! I have multiple items of legendary (even exotic) armor and weapons, but the only materials ever required for upgrading is the relic iron. What is up with that? I understand using iron for armor, but what is the purpose of collecting spinmetal, helium filaments, and spirit blooms if they are never used for upgrades on armor and weapons? I really hope something is done, otherwise, all the time and effort you put into making the odd little materials would have been wasted. Thanks for taking the time to read this, see in the Tower.

1 ReplyTrade them in for material exchange at either the Crucible or Vanguard Quartermaster. If you got a ton just taking up space, turn that stuff into rep and glimmer. Most of my weapons and armor don't use Spinmetal, so I trade it in.

I learned from a YouTube vid that you can use these materials to buy mark/rep/glimmer from crucible and vanguard Qmasters. Good way to increase rep.

I do have a Legendary Handgun that requires spinmetal.

Helium filament and Bloom are used for upgrades.

I need other materials to upgrade my weapons and armor. Maybe you just don't have anything good yet?

You've just been finding ones that take relic iron. The other materials are used the same way

It's the items you're rocking. Mine take everything. Honestly, I'm kind of jealous you only have to farm one material lol
