Lack Of Content And Key Concerns Of The Community

Bungie I just want to start off by saying Destiny has so much potential to be one of the best games ever made. And many people that are writing these bad reivews and saying this game is trash believe that with more content it would be a great game. I just want to sum up a majority of what people are having problems with 1. Story Mode- The story you guys put together was so disappointing. I understand it was just the start of things to come. But you cant make a story that takes anywhere from 7-14 hours to beat and leave people with no kind of real story. In all the past Halo games that Bungie made everyone knew who Cortana and Mastercheif were. Everyone wanted to know if Mastercheif was in the next game and what happened to Cortana. You left people with a story that they could connect to. You can't make a story this short and then make people wait 3 months till they get to play the next part of it. 2. Vault Of Glass Raid- Honestly one of the hardest things ive ever completed in a video game. Whatever department of Bungie that made this deserves a big pay raise. Only thing wrong with this is raid gear. I understand you want it to be hard to get raid gear. Granted it should be, but when people are making 2 other characters of the same type just so they can get the 3 or 4 pieces of raid gear to reach lvl 30, you know that there is a serious problem there. Many of the people ive talked to have no problem with only being able to get rewards one time a week going through the Vault. But whats the point in making two other characters of the same type when you can just wait till the expansion and progress past lvl 30 with other gear. A good suggestion that was made by people was to make it where u could do the raid and get rewards on all sections of the raid the first time through. Then if you decide you want to do it again, only by completing the entire vault again you get one roll for items after the final boss. 3. Strikes - With strikes its as simple as theres no point in doing them unless you want marks. You promised people by killing bosses you would get better gear. But all that the bosses ever drop are items that you can turn into the cryptarch for glimmer. Why spend even 10 mins on a lvl 24 strike that gives you one house banner for 200 glimmer and maybe at most if your extremely lucky a legendary engram on the end roll, when you can just go sit at a dumb looting spot and have more engrams in a hour than you would have in 2 days doing strikes. I have a suggestion for that, that ill list in the end topic. 4. Crucible- There is absoultely no reward for doing well in a Crucible match. The first legendary engram I ever saw earned in a rumble match i played was rewarded to a player that had 2 kills and 14 deaths. When i was sitting up top with 24 kills and 3 deaths. How do you think any player would respond to that. I understand you want less skilled players to have the same chance at loot but its unfair to more skilled players. Bungie has always made great competitive multiplayer with a rewarding factor to more skilled players. My suggestion to fix this is base the amount of loot percentage to the players performance in game. If players cant do well in a Crucible game then they shouldnt be rewarded with anything more then the Crucible marks and Reputation. I mean as it stands right now someone could just go in the back of the map and go afk shooting their gun and get better loot than the person that actually tried to win the game. 5. RNG Loot- Honestly this is one of the things ive seen that is most hated in all reviews. The fact that you can do the weekly nightfall strike that isnt easy by no means unless you're stacked out with good items, and the people in your fireteam get exotics and you get shafted with legendary gear is pretty crazy. For example, ive did every nightfall strike more than once to help out friends. Usually what ive done is jumped in with 2 other people that havent done it and when we get to the end and the boss is low i just let another friend hop in, in my place and every time ive done this. The 2 people that went through the whole thing end up getting shafted and the guy that hopped in at the last gets the exotic. The RNG process really doesnt bother me that much but I see where people are coming from. It makes the whole looting process and gaining lvls completely based off luck. I mean ive just faced facts my luck completely 100% sucks but ive grinded it out and bought my items off the agent nine, dead orbit, and vanguard. For example my Cryptarch rank is a lvl 21 or 22 and out of all the engrams ive decoded ive got a total of 4 legendary items. The rest were bought and earned. This is why doing strikes is usless. There is no sure fact that you're going to get a good item and even if you do you could have got 10 times that at a looting spot. Only suggestion I have is like the Crucible base the amount of kills you get in a strike to what loot you receive. 6. Exotic Bounties- This is just a personal problem with me that I havent seen anyone complain about but, me and all my friends are amazed at how I have a lvl 29 warlock and a lvl 25 hunter and have been doing loads of bounties and still yet have not received one exotic bounty. I did every bounty that you could do for about 12 days straight and still didn't receive one. When my friends are sitting on their 2nd and 3rd exotic bounty now. It bothered me a whole lot before but now i dont need them as much because i have exotic weapons but i just dont understand how that whole process works. Seems like yet another form of luck. <Not A Huge Deal> Would just like an answer on how this is possible? 7. Lack Of Content- This is the biggest concern and where a majority of frustration is coming from the community. I don't know if this is to do with the contract with Activision. But if they're the reason you're waiting until December to release content then as said by the community " Bungie you made a huge mistake in signing a contract with Activision". Alot of people have no incentive to even play this game after they reach level 29 or 30. Only reason i made another character is to farm out more shards for my other guy. Something that i really didn't want to do but what else do people have to do on the game. A majority of players don't want to create 2-3 characters just to give them something to do until the expansions drop. You're waiting till December to release your first DLC, but what Bungie isn't thinking about. Is all of the games coming out before then. The saddest thing I could imagine happening is the Master Cheif Collection coming out and a majority of the Community moving over to a game that Bungie intially made. Bungie wouldn't only take the criticism of the biggest let down of the year but also one of the most potential worthy games made by Bungie being destroyed by a game they made like 8 years ago. My suggestion which is agreed upon by a big part of the community is that you push that December release date up to October. Because if you dont, come November you're losing a ton of the people playing this game to COD: Advanced Warfare and the Master Cheif Collection. Honestly Bungie my opinion is all the little things cant be fixed. I have absolutely no problem with the game besides the fact of the extremely low lack of content. If you add more content before November comes and im not just saying the iron banner then you're going to cut the amount of bad reviews almost completely out. Like i said this game has the potential but from the lack of content you're going to lose a big amount of these long term Bungie fans like me and also the new comers that expected something more out of this game. The least you could have done is gave people enough content to play that remained fresh and new until the DLC drop instead of making people grind the same things everyday for 3 months straight. The queen missions were even killing the same bosses. When alot of people were expecting to slay out new bosses and were let down. I know you guys can make it right. But you're sitting on a tight time- frame with a whole of people in the community.

 • The problem I have, other than those mentioned above is that with so little content delivered for a supposedly full game, I can't in all fairness trust Bungie to deliver enough value in the dlc to justify the £35 price tag. I paid £40 for that game and I consider that I got less than stellar value, to be asked to pay nearly the same again is not justifiable knowing what I know now.
