[u]I just wanna know. What do you think Bungie missed in Destiny?[/u] Reading various articles and opinions across the interwebs I've found a pretty big list of things, some that I have noticed immediately. [i]Bungie I really hope you read this one...[/i] So far from what I've picked up and noticed on my own and online together this is a small list of what I've found is missing as an MMO title. Crafting A Home. Character Stories Larger Worlds Now if you'd [i]bear[/i] with me I'd like to explain this a bit. But if not- please add what you think is missing in the comments and why. If we can get Bungie on this topic and see what they should improve on that'd be AWESOME than we can call this game more than just a mere shooter. [b]Crafting[/b] [spoiler] The most elaborate thing about a gun or piece of armor is that you get to upgrade it....... Now that's fine for starters.... But I like a challenge in my plays. If you've noticed, there's a small variety of items you can pick up. Ascendant Shards, the turn-in materials from each world, mote of lights, strange coins.. Yknow.. basic stuff.. But wheres the adventure in getting a gun? When I saw spin metal I instantly thought of "GUN SHELLS!" I honestly would have loved if they completely scrapped or maybe lessened the Rare+ engrams and instead invite a handful on new materials and stuff where you need to collect so many, bring it to the Gunsmith and he'll make a part of a gun for you. Then you can slap them together to make a cool custom gun. Would that not be cooler than to just pick up a gem and say "yay.... lets go to the cryptarch........"? NAH Lets get some versatility in there. By this I mean (for those who played lets set Mercenary Kings) You get a so much material to make a gun stock (stability).. Sits in your inventory or something until you get the Barrel (accuracy). Then you later get the sights (range) and Body (fire type+primary/special/heavy). Then the Gunsmith is all like... "Yeah I can make a gun out of this." BLAM! Sexy Pulse Rifle ready to go. May or may not be too late to add this. Kinda let down that's not there though. [/spoiler] [b]A Home.[/b] [spoiler] Do you wonder why people play games like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon? It's your own influenced environment. Sure it loses it's point after a while, but it comes back around. You want a house here? You got it. You want a massive lava fountain that shoots fallen out of it while they scream in hilarious humor? You got it. I know not many people shoot for that, but hell.. It's fun to make a place you can call your own. That's why games like Animal Crossing and HArvest Moon are successful.. Even Playstation Home made it for a long time off of that. I mean, come of Destiny you give us the Dance feature. Why not let us set up a sexy pad where we have a grooving disco floor where we can make use it with some pumping music in the back? [/spoiler] [b]Character Stories[/b] [spoiler]Hi Speaker... Why are you here? Hi Cayde-6, What's you're story? Hi Holiday, Why are you so involved with ships? ... That was the great thing about Mass Effect. You got LOADS of optional back story on characters. Most of the time getting that back story going was a mass benefit. Like Tali got a new power, or you and the Receptionist got to third base when you all were about to go on the Suicide.... Or Thane... Thane.... Those who played and went Thane understand. [/spoiler] [b][i][u]Larger Worlds[/u][[/i]/b] [spoiler] YAY! We beat the game what do we get? Oh... a kinda OK rifle and patrols in the places we've been in and out of several times in a row without end.... Boring... Me personally, I'm sick of Russia now. I wanna head on over to somewhere like Ireland or Eastern America or something. Screw Russia. If Bungie loads the next few DLC's in area's we've already ran through tonnes of times, I'm done.
