Titan and Warlock Need "AGGRESSIVE THIRD SUB-CLASS/SUPERS"

Considering there is still third-subclass spot and that Bungie has alluded to the third class being made in the future...I propose that the Titan and the Warlock receive a more aggressive super whereas the hunter gets a more support based sub-class Currently the Hunter has two aggressive sub-classes that are both the most dominant in PvP in regards to supers alone...they have the highest kill potential and offer the most reward with little drawback...but in PvE, specifically the Raid, they have little helpfulness and utility other than going invisible and are rather expendable as a necessary raid class/member...They should get a more support based Void class The Warlock and Titan should recieve more aggressive supers with their corresponding Arc and Solar classes that they've yet to receive... prefferably something with a high kill potential such as the blade-dancer rather than a simple one shot AoE like the Fists of Havoc and Nova Blast...as it stands the blade-dancer has the highest kill output of any super in PvP and allows it to shine amongst other supers... If you would like a more aggressive sub-class for the Titan and Warlock please post/sign here and Thank You ^-^ Edit: The amount of people feeling that I'm atagonizing any class is completely off...I love all the classes and their current sub-classes...I'm merely giving my opinion on what would be a nice addition to all classes...if you feel offended I apologize but I don't see how anyone could be offended by the OP...

  • While I agree the hunters subclasses are aggressive I don't believe they're the most dominant in pvp. Since you can put armor of light on and punch a blade dancer to death if they come into your bubble while using arc blade. (I have footage of this, in skirmish where a blade dancer came into my bubble and my teammate and I punched him to death and we both received minimal damage because of armor of light.) and fist of havoc one shots a blade dancer during arc blade. Golden is the acceotion however you have no oversheild during it or any form of bonus defensive power. So you can trade with nova bomb if you're slow/quick enough (situational) and it takes all three.golden gun shots against the bubble to disarm the bubble. I don't remember if one golden gun shot will kill someone during fist of havoc but.most.of the maps are close quarters so its most likely to occur with a trade(again situational) I'm not too keen on radiance but the fact you can revive after dying just means you can revive after getting golden gunned. So I cannot agree that the hunter subclass are most.dominant as there are counters for it. And it either cancels out with titan or longer range kills warlock or a striker. There are balances for the most part with supers (if everyone has them) Yet I would love a hunter support void class. And agree the next titan subclass should be a DPS class. And the warlock may remain neutral since both subclass do decent aoe and decent DPs on bosses. If anything the warlock would be the more creative challenge. Support hunter, DPs titan and mid grounds slightly more DPs on boss warlock.

    • I disagree as well... Titan's "ground pound" super is aggressive. (Striker subclass) Warlocks "radiant" super is aggressive. (Sunsinger). Hunter's blade dancer super is really Aggressive!... I hate when I get killed by it in PvP, but it's all apart of the game. Our job is to figure out ways to use each subclass effectively. For the most part I think each class has its own unique advantage that seems "unfair". IMO, PvP is pretty well balanced. I just need Bungie to work on the actual story on the game, but that's another topic.

    • I would actually like a better support super for warlock because the sunsinger doesn't really help much

    • Hi Check gamers rant article written about destinies third subclasses. Titan gets crusader, hunter gets trapper and warlock gets arc thrower. Curious how crusader going to work, fires a beam from titans body that destroys all in its path, supposedly. Personally I figured the third subclass would simply be to allow players to have 1 sub class from the other classes, ex: titan has golden gun, warlock has defender; but the idea of three completely new subclasses sounds waaaaaaaay better. cheers

    • I disagree with the hunter having the most aggressive supers, I for one believe resurrecting to kill and unsuspecting foe is a OP super, I kill hunters with my titan with a tackle and a punch while they spun next to me.

I'd actually be interested in the Hunter class having some sort of damage buff Super for the rest of the team. If the Hunter has a Golden Hand Cannon, why can't he grant a Golden Heavy Machine Gun or Golden Fusion Rifle to the others?

    • For an aggressive warlock class in the arc element I was thinking along the lines of lots of chain attacks. This way they can still be an area control class, yet also be a little in your face about it. Melee Ability - An arc blast that chains through the one hit to other nearby targets. Grenades - Not sure what hasn't been done yet (I only play sunsinger), but maybe different types of debuffs like shield draining and stunning? Super - I was thinking something similar to the Blade Dancer where they could just get 15 seconds of throwing around chain lightning every which way. Just an idea, but I think it would work well.

    • I play as a hunter so I enjoy the idea of a support type class for then like maybe a medic type subclass to revive teammates faster or maybe even shoot their ghost with a needle type gun to revive them. I also play as a titan and planning on playing a warlock but yes I agree that titans and warlocks need an aggressive type subclass.

      • Let's give this a try, shall we? Arc Subclass Warlock Subclass: Arcweaver(or Arc Weaver) Super Ability: Chain Lightning Similar to the Hunter's bladedancer last grenade, but way more potent. The warlock would unleashed high velocity bolts of electricity, by the hands(this would happen automatically when triggered, could work manually or with an auto procedure) and latch onto a nearby enemy, inflicting heavy arc damage and then proceed to spread to other enemies if nearby, with damage only diminishing once it passes through several enemies at first. The reach and power would be a lot more potent than the grenade and it would also cause a heavy arc explosion once it finishes passing through each enemy within range. Now this could be manually aimed like with the Hunter's golden gun or when triggered, it could seek out enemies, like a homing missile, while this process happens the Warlock could transmit electrical discharge from body, damaging anyone that may get close afterwards for a short period. Solar Subclass Titan Subclass: Champion of Flames Super Ability: Conflagration Similar but a slower but tankier version of the Hunter's blade dancer, switching to his fists, The Titan will be filled with a brilliant surge of energy, causing him to be enveloped in fire(or solar), this will cause him no harm under the Traveler's power, his ability to tank and deal damage will increase substantially(think of a CoD Juggernaut, but a bit faster), every path he takes will leave a trail of fire that enemies being caught in it will be damaged. His fists upon impact will deal earth-shattering solar damage and have a small AoE effect. Enemies close, will be burned up(trying to take him out via melee is suicide) and can have the option of immolation to cause severe solar AoE damage to surrounding enemies in a fiery explosion of self-sacrifice. Just because ... Void subclass Hunter Subclass: Shadowstepper Super Ability: Nightmarish Rift Playing upon the Hunter's already non-auto abilities, upon triggering this ability, he will be submerge in a cloak of void element, concealing his presence and granted with a single shot sniper rifle(could be possible to increase this), unlike other supers, this one is meant to be done from far away. Upon firing the single shot void sniper rifle, once it comes in contact(can be an enemy or a surface), will cause a severe explosion dome of void energy that will cause a initial explosion that will heavily damage enemies and afterwards create a temporarily maelstrom upon a collapse of the explosion that will then implode that will tug and pull enemies close by that happen to approach it, absorbing them within the maelstrom, to deal severe void damage for a short duration before dissipating. PS: I don't believe for one moment that any of this will be consider, mainly doing this for fun.

      • Warlock Subclass: Omniscience Super Ability: Gravity Well A gravitational field surrounds the Warlock and allows him/her to float above the ground (think Hive Wizards) for a short period of time. Moving at a high rate of speed, and flinging bolts of Solar and Void Energy from the palm of their hands (also similar to Wizards). In the final evolution upgrades the end of the bolts can call down Solar Strike (meteor shower or UV beams) or Upheaval (an AOE void induced body slam) Titan Subclass: Berserker Super Ability: Battering Ram Encased in Armor of Light, with arms crossed in front of them, Titan will barrel through enemies like a locomotive. while dealing DOT Arc Damage to any enemy unlucky to be in their path. Final evos can be Chain Lightning (touch one enem,y and anyone nearby gets hit by a bolt of Arc Energy) or Bullet Train (increased speed and massive damage, only effects on target at a time, but can stack for duration similar to Blade Dancer) I'm basically taking attributes from their first two subclasses, with a more aggressive style.

Bungie, how about putting in the other half of the game you are saving for DLC?? Do you guys even pay attention to these forums??

            • I don't disagree with your idea but I use the voidwalker Warlock class and I play VERY aggressively. On control I know I'm not the only one who gets a tingly sensation when they see a flag is getting taken fast and they have a nova bomb ready for it. (Taken fast = more players = bigger woot woot) With hunter it's a lot easier to kill the bladedancer from a distance than it is to kill the warlock. And I've shotgunned many hunters who did the blade dancer right in front of me only to have it go to waste. If you kill a warlock before his super fires then he still has it on respawn even though he clicked to use it. So imo no class is overpowered. (Titan is hardest to kill when doing super so has that). But I would still like for your suggestions to be put through anyway

                  • As a level 28 , 29 if i was to use my many shards hunter i can tell you hunter bladedancer is not as op as some think hell i have cancled a bladedancers strike many times with simple melee ( hell it even makes a metal on metal clashing sound ) and even killed many bladedancing hunters with melee just to get hate mail like " cheater" and " -blam!-ing hacker " . Yet both titan and warlock have sweet defence thats very troublesome to a hunter. Cant tell you how many times i have been one hitted by a damn nooby titans melee hiding in a corner like hes scared of the battle. Or how many times i knifed a warlock to have him melee me back and gain full life and bonus shield and then yup they kill me cause im already hurt from melee and they arent. So your asumption that warlock and titan are not agressive types and hunter is better for being well a hunter is way off and frankly proves you dont understand the roles as well as you think

                    • No I think they should be role specific. Have the Titan special to be a like unbreakable shield for 30 seconds all enemies can only shoot at Titan and he takes no damage. Tho the Titan can't move or shoot. It's kind of like a actual tank ability in a mmo I played can't remember what it was called tho.

                    • One Shot AoE can kill multiple people in the same situations that the Blade Dancer super can do. There are many times when me and my buddies have all been killed by a single titan super, or a void bomb launched at us. They are so instantaneous that you really have no way to dodge or evade them. At least with the blade dancer, you can see them coming. I feel that I get killed by all classes relatively equally via supers. I also think that your assumption that in the raid they are not useful, blade dancer is fantastic at taking ads and killing them to generate orbs of light. They may not be great against the boss directly, but a titan or warlock could grab those orbs and take out the boss.

                      • Hunters arent op, titans have a high defense and all their meele instantly kills u and they get a shield just from running, warlocks get a shield if they hit u and they are neutral they have a great armour and recovery and their nova bombs dont even have to hit u to kill u all they have to do is throw it at watever direction your at, even if your behind a building the nova bomb can still kill u which should be patched, also they can resurrect, no one stays their to make sure a warlock is dead, hunters have a shitty defense and an even more shittier recovery and a high agility, sure u can increase the armour and recovery but not by alot and without it affecting everything els, when i see a bladedancer i dont run away i run towards them cause i know how to over power them, golden gun all u got to do is hide until it goes away cause u dont have alot of time with it u have to kill people quick with it, i would like a defensive class though cause im tired of having a shitty defense

                        • Each class needs a subclass that uniquely caters to high armor, high recovery or high agility. From my experience with my Warlock, void walker is fantastic with high recovery and sunsinger is great with high armor, but neither are more effective with high agility than the other stats. Hopefully that third subclass slot revises this, and with other classes
