What is with the moon strike?

This is one of my favorites because if all the mobs at the boss battle. The strike playlist ones are easy though. The epic one is where it's at.

2 RepliesDon't mind the strike, but the strike playlist always seems to choose that one. I wish you could vote on the strike you play. Or at least after the initial one.

2 RepliesGuardian uses fire fusion rifle against witches / wizards... It's super effective! Also, sniper rifle head shots against knights make short work of them. It really isn't that hard of a strike. Find the enemies weakness and any strike is a doddle. Bungie don't need to fix it because it's "too hard".

Haven't tried that on Heroic and Nightfall as my gaming buddies are not even close to properly geared yet, but if you say standard strike playlist yes it is hard (properly as hard as the Psion Flayers). However, it is still doable, just a matter of coordination and positioning. I always clear out trash mobs and Wizards, Sword Knight and Cursed Thrall are piorities, after that just focus fire on the boss. Those rocks on the left when you enter the room are my best friend, always stay there for the fight.

9 RepliesIts funny you say this because i personally find the moon strike the easiest. Its the only one a can beat without dying regularly. Maybe its just an issue with play style.

I know the standard level of the strike is easy I completed it without everyone dying. It just gets ridiculous when you get to level 24 wizards surrounding you. Also Strategy does work when people are actually doing that instead of running around like idiots.

If the game is too hard go somewhere else. Me and my friends did it easily when we unlocked it.

The strike isn't too bad if your team stays away from the spawn triggers. Many people I play with who don't know, will hide in the back hallway or up top on the elevated platforms. Doing that will trigger many more majors and ultras.

You can easily two man the moon Strike with two 26 that know what they are doing

4 RepliesI did speed runs on this strike at EGX earlier. Have you tried standing on the entrance platform and just all mullering Phogoth? Dunno how well that'd work on a higher level strike TBH... In any case, bring Solar Guns. Fire = BYE BYE WIZARDS LOLOL

Kill all adds and spawns first. There are 3 dropsgips that also come, have soneone one the ready with a rocket launcher when they do and whipe them out as soon as they land. Aside from that it's prerty easy especially if everyone forms a triangle defense in the front and two back corners

2 RepliesI've found the only 100% chance of doing that strike is with three active players,1 solely focusing on spawns,another working spawns and phogoth,and the third solely focusing on phogoth.

Were you playing alone? I do strikes all the time and although this strike is one of the hardest I wouldn't say it's impossible. I find standing on the left side under the platform when you go into the boss area is the easiest. Don't run around the whole place just keep your fire team spread along that left hand side. Also try n kill the fallen as soon as they're dropped from the ships so you don't get over run.
