Idea for Competitive Multiplayer!

So I've dug around a little online and saw that this might actually happen..or something like it at least. Anyway, idea below. Also, if there is another post like this, sorry I just got this app so I didn't see it. - (Explanation, not a rant) We all are understandably upset with the random loot generator on PvP. Why should someone who does terrible get the best loot randomly? I get it. However, I believe that's because the multiplayer currently in place is more of a "community playlist" where random loot does kind of make sense. Think about it, It's an easy playlist to join, you don't have to prove yourself to play, and honestly if you're good you can be matched up with terrible players that make you look better than you actually are and vice versa. I could go on and on. So in regards to that. How about proving yourself in PvP to be able to be "invited" into a more competitive league with better rewards (I suggest mostly cosmetic stuff) and possibly higher probability of randomly getting better engrams, ascended materials, etc. For example: - Say you're playing clash and for a couple (or more) games in a row you have a 2.0 K/D, a lot of assists, points, and so on. After some sort of in game formula thinks you're good enough, you get a "ticket" for the competitive playlist. Once you're in the competitive playlist you are now playing the best of the best. If you keep winning, you keep going and have chances at better stuff. If you lose, you have to go back to the community playlist and get another "ticket". Pretty simple idea I think. Ideas to go along with it: -There could be something in place that the more competitive games you win in a row the better and better your drop rate becomes. - You stay with whatever team you start with and continue to fight other teams that keep winning. Kind of like a pseudo rank system that keeps things super competitive. - A certain number of wins in a row could unlock emblems, shaders, class items, etc. So when other people see you they know you're a bad ass. - Open for more ideas. This helps the community in two ways: 1. The people who are craving for a truly competitive experience and want to be rewarded for their hard work have to prove themselves and can't just point to their amazing K/D for playing against bad people. Again, those who are actually really good and want rewards are rewarded with a super competitive experience and hopefully get some cosmetics and a chance of better items (if they continue to prove themselves) to walk away with. 2. Those who aren't so lucky at being shooting game gods and are more casual (just hear me out competitive junkies) still get a "casual" ultra random chance at really great items while at the same time those fighting for their "tickets" will continue to carry them to win games and make the experience more enjoyable for them. And heck, even the casual player who isn't the best may have a couple amazing games and get a chance at the big leagues. Maybe a little rant: I love destiny, (or rather the promise it has) and I do feel that the devs are listening. The game hasn't been out but for what, 3 weeks? So good things can come. (I always point to Diablo 3 since they are similar in a lot of ways). I agree there are a lot of things that can be better. That being said, please don't just come to the feedback section, stomp your feet, pout, and expect anything to be fixed. Instead come with some thought out, constructive criticism. Final note: I just came up with this idea so it could use some work and also some other thoughts which would be greatly appreciated. Come up with some good additions/thoughts and I'll add them to the original post. This section isn't here to just barbarically yell at the devs, it's to help them. So let's help them by suggesting something useful.

 • I agee. With halo there was always a ranking system or ladder system that paired you with others that take the competitive aspect of the game seriously.

 • The only issue I can see with this is that it might be hard to stay in the competitive league, so the rewards might have to be boosted in a larger way than might be fair. Good idea though. There's too many people ranting about what "sucks" in the game and giving no way to fix it.
