Editor: DarkChildOfLight, The Last City Times. Guardians are becoming distrustful of each other after many reported attacks on Exo by other classes. These attacks are based on the belief that Exo can be dismantled for the much sought after Ascendant Shards, a rare material which Guardians use to level up their legendary and exotic armour. One victim, who wishes to remain annoymous, recalls the moment that his friends became foes, [i] "My fireteam had just finished a mission for the Queen. Each of us was given a legendary helmet as per usual. We tried to break these down for the shards only to find Sapphire Wire and other common materials. We were united in our disappointment. We ran three more missions to the same end. To my surprise, during a routine daily heroic, I was downed by a Stealth Vandal. My comrades tried to stop my ghost from reviving me whilst simultaneously trying to yank my head off. 'Give us the -blam!-ing shards! The shards goddamnit! Now!' I've never been so terrified in my whole life! I'm not made of Ascendant! I don't know what I'm made of but its not that! What madness could drive them to turn on me so?"[/i] He has since resigned and now plans to organise a support group for physically and emotionally scarred Exo. Attacks of a similar and horrifying nature have been on a steady rise ever since the Queen of the Reef stopped manufacturing helmets and chest armour with these materials. We at The Last City Times contacted The Queen's brother for an exclusive interview, [i] "There were multiple workers strikes carried out by the Fallen House of Wolves Union over the matter. They want all the Ascendant Mines in their homeworld shut down. It is no longer in our best interest to use these materials. Guardians will have to find another means of obtaining them."[/i] Reputable Exo of The Vanguard, Cayde-6 informed us of his feelings on the rising tensions, [i] "Its not safe for any of us. Even The Speaker and the Cryptarch look at me now as if I'm a Vex minotaur and an exotic engram hybrid. Who can I trust? Where is the justice? Purple Ball save us!" [/i] Citizens of The Last City are concerned, an Exo female who insists that we refer to her only as 'The Stranger' remarks, [i]"This won't do at all. Guardians need to get their act together.
