Bungie should not have taken away all rewards
Bungie should have given us one shard per queens wrath. Not taken them out completely

7 RepliesI agree in part but calling people lazy for wanting Shards from the Queens lesser quality legendary armour is wrong. Legendary drops are rare and Shards even more so. Don't get me wrong I love the game but the Queens Wrath patch has just made it near pointless unless you're purely want some different looking armour that's weaker than the vanguard armour.

1 ReplyFarming is an essential part of virtually every RPG game. And yes the "Cave" was an exploit. But the problem is not that people were farming the "Cave". The problem is that the Cave was the single most rewarding, interesting and social aspect of a $500 million "Shared World Shooter". The consistent if random loot drops coupled with voiceless guardians banding together for a World event or the Massing of overwhelming enemy forces. I made more friends and stories here than anywhere else in the game. Oh and why can't I get legendary material from breaking down legendary gear? Breaking down lower tier gives me the appropriate materials to upgrade those.

5 RepliesIf people wouldn't have exploited the getting of shards it wouldn't have been fixed just like the loot cave...if you had three maxed characters and did all the queens mission with all 3 you would have enough shards for the life of this game...that's not what bungie intended to happen hence a patch

6 RepliesYes thank you. I love driving/walking around your empty shallow world with nothing to do. The farming is a telling sign of how boring the game truly has gotten. Doesn't it say something to you when you have people who would rather sit for hours shooting into a cave rather than play the game you spend years developing. If that's not a kick in the nuts.

sorry, i couldn't hear you over the sound of bungie's collective knob in your mouth. it's not about being too lazy its the fact that it took me like 2 days to hit level 20 and the rest of the first week to get the gear i'm still wearing, since then i have only been able to do the first upgrade with one piece of armor with ascendant mats and one weapon. if they meant for the game to be that much of a grind they shouldn't have put an event in that gives you a crap ton of the same item over and over and over, what was i supposed to do with 6 queens guard helmets and 5 robes? I really do enjoy playing destiny, don't get me wrong, but there truly is no point to doing the queen's wrath event anymore, i'll just go back to doing the stuff i was doing before QW started. *sigh* heres to hoping my luck will provide me with ascendant mats from pub events and using my crucible/vanguard marks to buy legendaries to break... should i have said i do that? bungie might remove mats from store items too now

Nerfing the farming was understandable, BUT this game does so little to reward you for anything else still. Finishing a strike gives you nothing really, as far as I can remember each strike gives gear, if it does, at the same level as when you first get access to it, so nothing to really help you get to 26 to at least be able to do that raid, which in turn is also the only way currently to get to 30. The boss drops nothing almost always and is probably subject to the same rng as any other enemy.

2 RepliesI love the game and I have had an absolute blast with it. But at the end of the day, this is a progression based game. And progression based games have to provide incentive to complete activities. If there are 10 things I can do in the game and 9 of them offer rewards, very few people will do the other 1. You created this thread based on mine that was simply stating this: Bungie removed incentive for the content they created. I don't want things handed to me. I want to work for them. I never did the loot cave because I hate farming. But doing the level 24 missions with those modifiers were very challenging and I think getting SOMETHING from them is fair. Getting the same helmet and chest piece isn't an incentive, which is why people were doing it for the materials. I'm not saying we should be able to farm 10 an hour, but why not 2 an hour? Why make it 0 and give people no reason at all to do the event?

4 RepliesPeople are going to complain, period. The question is:WHat are people having an issue with and why? Is it an actual issue? Or are they just crying? Complaining about things being needlessly nerfed, well it removed all motivation to pursue the LT Event for many players. Thus an actual issue. Complaining about the "loot cave" being fixed, that's just people crying because they can't get easy loot anymore. Complaining about not being able to communicate with other players unless they are directly in YOUR fireteam (not just a matchmade team)? That's an actual issue. Complaining about people complaining? That's just crying.

Anyone over the age of 12 should have seen that coming, but you should read the "Why bother doing Queens Wrath" post to understand the rest. Unless you are a fresh level 20, or an in game cosplayer, than it is pretty much useless beyond one day of playing those missions.

Why is the queen's legendary gear different from the others. Atleast make them 1 shard for dimantaling. And I am not lazy btw I have 4 days of play time and absolutely love the game and worked for everyrhing but what's the point to doing the missions if I don't get any rewards. I already had great legendary gear. So I literally get no rewards from those missions. There is no point in doing them. There needs to be to make people play the content. Sure a lvl 20 coukd get some good gear but this event is only going on for 2 weeks and that's really not going to take 2 weeks so even those people will be in the same boat as me. The extra content is only cosmetic items and bountys. The missions are nothing new. There really isn't any new content.
