Bungie.net no longer works in IE

I guess I'll start off by saying that I actually DO like Internet Explorer. Please keep the suggestions constructive and not just, "Use Chrome." The companion actually worked just fine in IE maybe a week ago, and it's s bit annoying to see support cut. Neither my guardian no my gear is displayed, and I get a message asking me to switch to Chrome or Firefox. I've noticed that if I run the site and set the user agent string to Chrome or Firefox, it works normally. I'd just rather not have to set it up every time I want to view the site. Compatibility mode doesn't work in my experience. I'd really like to see this fixed. I loved being able to see my guardian and weapons. Is this a temporary thing, is it the support cut permanently?

  • Are you talking about 3D rendering? I believe 3D rendering was disabled on Internet Explorer because it was causing excessive CPU usage (specualted to be caused by the JavaScript engine used by IE). The rest of the website should be working, if it's not you should create a thread in Help.

Works for me. It's your IE settings. You really should be using a different browser, and sandboxing it with a non-administrator user account via the run-as command. This is a very important method of preventing malware.
