Did I get hacked?!

My controller keeps disconnecting in crucible and in story mode after a variety of occurances happen. It would immediately turn off after firing any type of secondary weapon, firing a hand cannon, firing a scout rifle, reloading a pulse rifle, firing the golden gun, meleeing an enemy, being hit by an explosive deployable, losing health from a draining deployable, being hit by a sniper bullet, hitting a wall from the side on a Pike, and firing rockets from the rocket/ tank vehicle (forgot it's name). That's all I know, and it's super lame because I can't play without ripping my hair out from it disconnecting my controller every 30 seconds and not allowing me to use any strategy in playing and killing me easily. Please help me shed some light on this if it's a hack or a glitch or what. Attemps: dashboarding, restarting, cleaning disk, playing a different game, creating a new character, replacing controller batteries, using a different controller.

    • PROBLEM SOLVED: vibration caused the controller to shut off, so I've deactivated vibration in my system preferences. Thanks for the help!

Try turning off your vibration. You may have a faulty controller that disconnects when it vibrates. I used to have a 360 controller that disconnected every time it vibrated at 50% charge or less. EDIT: just noticed you tried another controller. I'm stumped. Maybe try turning vibration off just in case. This is very strange though

Sounds like you need to buy a new controller, perhaps the wiring in your controller went wonky to cause these problems.
