I'm so tired of coming onto this forum and seeing nothing except people saying how farming is "ruining the game" or how the whole game was just a let down. This forum is to find others in the destiny community and interact, not repost and complain about the same thing that a million of other people already have complained about. I have been trying to use this forum form for that reason but no one really sees due to the spam of meaningless "Kill the Treasure Cave" threads. So I have decided to give my opinions and see what everyone thinks. Farming: Everyone has heard of it. Yet people still post about how much they hate it and how much it ruins the game every 30 minutes like its something new. Now keep in mind everything said in this post is all my opinion so feel free to reply just try not to do so in a mature manor. In no way shape or form does farming ruin a game. Every MMO I have every played involves lots and lots of farming and or grinding. I personally enjoy grinding more than farming but I would never look at a farmer and say they are below me. We have all heard "How can you just shoot into a cave? That just ruins the gaming experience!" well for you maybe but sadly (and I mean this in the nicest way possible) no one cares what you think. Everyone enjoys playing games in their own way and some do not mind just shooting in a cave if it means they have a chance to get rewarded. But good news, if someone does farm it doesn't even effect you! In some cases it can even help you! Lets say you are alone one night and want to do some strike so you get matched up with 2 random people. Thanks to the farming that you hate they could be not very good at the game and still have nice weapons meaning they will be of some use during the strike! While in PVP people may argue that they get guns they don't deserve, I don't see why that matters. As much as you may "hate Destiny" you cannot argue that in PVP the weapons are all very balanced, so even if they do have a weapon a bit better than yours from farming it isn't like they should be mowing you down 24/7 and according to "you" farmers have no skill! Making them a sitting duck in PVP good weapon or not. Reading this you may think wow he must just farm all day, but I actually enjoy doing strikes and missions much more. I have farmed a little but personally it is not for me. Once again these are my opinions! Don't murder me over them but please do let me know yours in a orderly fashion. I will say that I completely agree that level should 100000% impact drop rate. No way should killing level 3's give you the same chance of getting a legendary as running strike after strike on the hardest difficulty. I really hope bungie does change this aspect of the game. RNG: While it might be a very frustrating concept it can also be a very interesting one. We all know the pain of getting that beautiful purple engram and sprinting over to the Cryptarch just to be handed a blue or in some cases a green.... But is it really the end of the world? Yes it may be unfair that you can grind hours and get nothing while someone can get one lucky drop day one and get an amazing gun but that's why it's called RANDOM. So what if you don't have all purple? Maybe not even all blue! Guess what it's week TWO. Not even a month has gone by and people are crying that they don't have maxed amazing gear. I would bet that many of the people who complain about that are the same ones who complain about destiny being short or having nothing to do.... They would read this post and say "Well yea I can keep trying to get the weapons but thats boringggggg". Guess what you are playing and MMO they are grindy! Get over it! And if that isn't your thing then don't play, no one is making you. And if you do still enjoy the game and just want the gear but hate grinding, do what you like! It's a game its supposed to be fun. You don't need amazing gear straight away! Have fun being the underdog and having to use strategy rather than just brute force while doing strikes or even a raid. No one is going to take the game from you (well maybe your parents) so just enjoy it and you will get the items you want so badly eventually! This game isn't a beat in a weekend kind of thing no matter what some people on the forums say! There is so much to do.... So I ask you to really think about this and if my opinion is the opposite of your don't just shut me down... think about it. Hell I'm not saying I'm right this is just an opinion. I just want to see this game have a helpful community, not one in constant war. Lastly, it is very obvious that these forums are dominated by negative comments, but that's how it always is. Those who aren't enjoying it are mad that other people are having fun and try to drag them down to their level. So start posting more about cool things you saw or did or just helping people out.
