Exotic Equipment Cap
Anyone else think they should remove the "one exotic weapon and one exotic armour piece at a time" rule?

1 ReplyI think they should remove the exotic armor cap for PvE especially. If you work for the armor and weapons you should be able to use them against the AI at least.

I don't have any exotic items, however i do like the idea of only having one equipped at any one time. Gives that one piece you do equip all the more meaning.

As in grinding quest and raids for months to get 1 then i would say equip all u can get your hands on. U have been trough the trouble of getting it done after all. Weapons I'd say yes. U can only wield/shoot 1at a time annyway.

I feel once they raise the level cap with the next expansion they'll allow you to equip one more of each. Tougher enemies will require higher stats so the only way they can do that without making higher tier gear or jacking the stats on everything will be to let you use more exotics.

3 RepliesI like the way this works, I don't want this game becoming too unbalanced. As these Exotics become more and more common though, I do think they need to create a true hard to find gem. something called Mythic. Extremely hard to come by and by pure luck. But only 1 of these can be equipped at anytime. And it can't be equipped in the same slot (weapon / armour) as a current Exotic. So one Exotic would need to come out for the Mythic.

But we're not talking about a lottery where some players can while most can't. If everyone can do something, nobody is OP. If you're worried about a 7/7 exotic wearer going up against a level 7 in PvP, create barriers (like they should have done already, perhaps) that groups PvPers by level, like other MMOs have done.

8 RepliesDude I've seen what some of these exotices do (I have two) imagine full suits and aresenals of that, they'd never leave pvp and they could solo every nightfall strike and totally break the game. ,so the cap is fine as is .

it needs to be done i dont even have anything to work towards anymore because i cant get much stronger without exotics so when i get one i should be excited and get to use it not be upset that i worked so hard to get something that i cant use. why put restrictions on games to this extent? people want to experience using exotics and being powerful. i got bored knowing i have nothing to work for

I don't really mind the one exotic armor But the one exotic weapon is dumb

6 RepliesIt's because the level cap is currently 30. If they allowed more exotics, you would be able to exceed the level cap. Who knows though, they may add multiple exotics later....
