Constant Disconnects

I imagine this will get lost in the deluge of posts but I'll give it a try. Since buying this game I've had sporadic disconnects during story missions/patrols/strikes, and the Crucible is [u]practically unplayable[/u], of the 9 or 10 games I've started I've been disconnected almost instantly from all but 2 of them and I fear to try any more because I know that regularly leaving multiplayer matches for whatever reason can get you banned, temporarily or otherwise. I am on an Xbox One on a home network, I have set up a port forward, I have set up a wired connection, I have set up the game-specific port forward to bypass any firewall I might have and [u]none[/u] of it has worked. My Xbox's network settings show that I have an Open NAT, but when I load up Destiny the game tells me my NAT is Strict. I have gamed for years (wirelessly I might add) using my current internet set up and apart from the occasional spot of lag I've had no problems, but with Destiny I just get error code after error code, bee, beetle, beaver, cattle, etc. Is there anything else I can do to get the game fully working? Or is it a lost cause?

    • I have been experiencing the same constant disconnect as well, at the most inconvenient moments of the game!!! it is very annoying and ruining my game experience

      • I am constantly being kicked from the destiny network, and I don't think it can be my internet connection since I rarely lose party chat plus I have a Fibre Optic wired connection and have a 100MB Dowload, 50MB upload and 2ms ping.Yet friends have less problems on there 10mb download broadband connections. I'm getting sick of all the Baboons.

        • since this post actually seems like it is going somewhere ill throw in my 2 cents the thing that i found out (and yes i do have the same problems) is that i can play open world. and strikes without a problem. if i play crucible or tower? pfft im screwed i then noticed a correlation . . . SIZE. crucible is 6v6 thats 12 people. the twoer can have . .. . what 15 people? and then when the raid came out while my group was opening that first door. if a horde of randoms come by. . . . BEEEEEEEEEEE. would be my soon to be voiced yell. if i play 3v3 crucible? im fine if the tower has less then 10 people? im fine if im in th open world doing missions? fine its the amount of people that is a problem . . . but why would that be?

            Well I'm glad I'm not the only one! (PS4) - Connectivity has been very poor up and down like a yoyo and I'm on fiber optic and in dmz, been monitoring this game uses the most bandwidth I have ever seen in a game need to optimize and compress data somehow killing the gaming experience getting sporadic disconnects! Love the game besides that I'm sure you guys can work through these issues... There Network Troubleshooting guide to this issue is to hard-wire / lan... come on!! Every other online games works just find and does not go up/down... your networks are simply saturated with tons of traffic and DOS attacks of some sort.

            • Same issue. It's not our connections, it's this stupid game. Makes me just want to trade it in for something else. I'm extremely frustrated.

              • I'm in the same boat, I've spent COUNTLESS hours trying to remedy the problem & all to no avail. This is BEYOND frustrating & I am a middle school science teacher so that's saying A LOT! I'd really want to play but right now I I just want my money back. #DESTINYREFUND#BUNGIEFIXDESTINY

                • Just want to throw in, in the off chance that someone at Bungie actually reads these things, that I'm having disconnections (Caterpillar) a lot, too. I've disconnected from my past three Strikes during the final boss phase. This began around the time of the second patch. The first few days post-release were fine. My PS4 NAT type is open/1 - I ended up plugging right into the modem - and I have a 20 up, 5 down connection. My connection is solid in every other game, other than lag; I'm in Asia, which probably doesn't help and means I will end up with the odd dropped packet because of the funky routing this region gets to most places. I run Destiny as the only application using the connection, and the PS4 is the only device connected while I play, with nothing downloading in the background. Really hope this stuff gets fixed. It's incredibly frustrating. I think I've done just about everything I can on my end, and there's been no word from Bungie.

                  • I have PS3 and I been havin these problem for the last hour it disconects every 5 min it's imposible to play like this! All kinds of errors (centipe, fly, baboon, etc.) This is getting old fast!

                  • The game is near unplayable at times. Add on how shitty half the game is and I think we can chalk this up to failure to meet the hype.

                  • I have done the port forwarding thing and it is working like a charm, my service provider twc said it was cause my Internet was too slow, and other bs. But in the end I had to set up the port triggers by myself and it works now like perfect

                  • I'm on a PS3 and getting something similar. I'm getting a Bee error at least once an hour. That's at 1am when no one is using my internet or at 5pm when several people in the house are. I have RCN's 110/15 package which is the fastest residential internet that I'm aware of in the US. If that's not enough bandwidth then Bungie is going to alienate most of the playerbase. The strange thing is that I played during beta and never had these issues. Is it a server load thing? Can a checkpoint system be installed so we at least get credit and can resume closer to our objectives? I'm getting tired of repeating entire missions because the fastest internet in the US apparently isn't fast enough for Bungie.

                  • im on the ps3 with the fastest internet you can buy around here and to day i cant seem to play at all without these problems ive even tried going around the house shutting down everything else that's hook to the WiFi

                    • Same here except I have an open NAT on the Xbox One and it remains that way even while playing, yet I still get centipede errors at my home. I have played other Activision titles, Bungie titles, and other online multiplayer experiences and have not had a problem. I don't know much about networking and I realize this was a great undertaking for both companies, but it's frustrating when you want to progress and grow in a game and you can't because you get booted during the last five minutes of every crucible match or strike. I'm sure it frustrates my friends when we've got great team action going and I get booted. What I've seen so far has been amazing, but the amazement ends when the codes start flowing. I don't have much else to say and I'm sure that your looking into all these errors, but with many multiplayer experiences coming this fall destiny may not survive if these connections don't get resolved.

                      • I have been playing since day one with absolutely 0 issues on my home network. In the last hour I have gotten nothing but centipede errors. Never had it before and now I can't finish anything...strikes...crucible...nothing. It's unfortunate that the queen's liason will only be around until the sixth. I'm losing precious time to get anything from her.

                        • I'm having the exact same problem, got everything set up, open NAT, ports forwarded, even tried with an ethernet cable and the most i've got out of this game is about 15 minutes without an error message coming up. Usually centipede. This is completely unacceptable, the game looks good but that's irrelevant if you can't play it. If I can't get it sorted by tomorrow I'm taking it back and getting my money back.

                        • Control and clash always gives bee error 5 minutes into the game for me on xbox one. I can play other parts of the game fine without any errors or issues. Today I got bee in clash, next game completed it and the game after ended up with the bee error.
