Wait, Bungie doesn't have a support center?!

So, to all of you enjoying Destiny right now: Good for you. Lucky you, too! Just hope you don't have the issues I'm about to describe. As many of you know, recently Destiny's servers were DDOS'd. While the servers are back up now, a significant portion of players have been stranded, unable to play Destiny at all. This is my story in Destiny. 9/9: Game Launch. Played Destiny, all the way up to Light 25. 9/20: Servers DDOS'd. Took a nap. 9/21 and onwards: Tried to log in to Destiny. Received #Cattle error upon getting to the main screen and attempting to sign in. Went to Bungie Help to submit a support ticket and troubleshoot. Wait, what? This is what I find on the #Cattle error page: http://www.bungie.net/7_Error-Code-CATTLE/en/Help/Article/11874 Now at this point, I think "Okay. Let's go to their twitter, see what's up." Nothing. At all. Okay....So I'll go on to troubleshooting. This is what I'm given: http://www.bungie.net/en/help/ Er.....Okay. I follow their link to a website that isn't even theirs. I follow the steps. My PS4 now has Port Forwarding and a Static IP! Take two...Same exact #Cattle error message. Now this seems a bit silly. I followed their advice, nothing is done. Okay, I'll try following their advice again and create a post on their ever-so-helpful "Help" forums. Surely they'll respond in a timely manner and help me out. I just want to play their game, after all! My result: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/70051519/0/0 The only response I've obtained so far is from other players with similar issues. I browse around the Help forum. The only response I've found is this: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/69657725/0/0 five days ago. Okay. I'll be patient, give it another day. It was the weekend, after all! Which brings me to today. My fourth day without being able to play Destiny at all. I've just about had it with the lack of response at this point, so I've decided to contact PS support and find out if they can help me out. Here's what I get (It's entertaining!):
Julio R.: Hi, my name is Julio R.. How may I help you? Me: Hi, I've been trying for the past few days to connect to Destiny. I've attempted to get a response for help with the problem from Bungie, but so far I've had no response so I figured I'd try here and see if you'd be able to help out. Julio R.: I see, Hunter. I'd be happy to look into this for you today. Julio R.: May I please have your online ID and sign in ID? Me: Online ID: Terranaza. Sign-in: [Redacted] Julio R.: Thanks. Julio R.: Do you get any error or anything? Julio R.: Have you check your connection? Me: Yes. I followed Bungie's troubleshooting steps for the "Cattle" error code. The error started occurring on 9/20 after their servers were brought down. I've port forwarded my PS4 and given it a static IP. It seems to get hung up on the "signing in" part of connecting to Destiny -- the "Connecting" part goes through. Julio R.: I see, Hunter. I am really sorry that you are experiencing this issues, however for this errors we don't have any troubleshoots it is being handled by bungie. Me: Okay. So how do I get Bungie to actually do anything about it? This is day 3 of being unable to play the game at all with absolutely no response on the matter to anyone with a similar issue from Bungie. Julio R.: I am really sorry about that, Hunter. Julio R.: What I can recommend you to try is delete the game and redownload to see if that helps. Me: I actually did attempt that. I re-downloaded the game and it gives the exact same error message. Julio R.: I see, I am really sorry Hunter. You have to wait for answer from bungie. Julio R.: If you wish you can contact them again. Me: That's funny. They don't give a way to contact them outside of their "Help" forum, which no one has responded to. They give no way to file a support ticket, e-mail them, call them, or anything. Do you have a way I can get a hold of them? Julio R.: I was looking but, they only have the website for support, I couldn't find a phone number or any other option for contact. Me: So...I paid $60 for a game I can't play, with no real fix anywhere in sight. Can I get a refund? I paid for it through the PS Store. Julio R.: I am really sorry about the issue, I completely understand how frustrating this can be Hunter, they will fix that server issue shortly. Julio R.: I am unable to request a refund in this case, Hunter. I am sorry about that. Me: So I have to completely rely on Bungie POSSIBLY fixing their servers when they've done absolutely nothing to provide any sort of support for the multitude of customers with this issue? Is this really what a company should be doing? Julio R.: Unfortunately, Hunter. This is an issue that is out of our control Bungie will find a solution to the issue and they are providing support through their forum at this time, we are not able to fix bungie's servers, this is something that they will assist you with, the gamer developer. Me: I would accept that as an answer if not for the fact that I CAN'T contact them to get assistance. PS support is literally the only way to get any kind of support response. You're basically telling me I'm screwed and I can't even get a refund. I wouldn't mind if they at least said they had a fix in the works. Why, specifically, can't I get a refund for a game that is no longer provided to me with no promise of it being provided to me soon? Julio R.: According to the user agreement all sales are final, and if the game has been downloaded or play it cannot be consider for an exception to be made. Julio R.: However since you have had this issue, the best I can do Hunter, is request to be reviewed for a refund, but I cannot guarantee that it will be process. Me: So you're saying I should never buy a game that has any sort of significant multiplayer capabilities because if the company decides that me being unable to connect to their servers through their own fault isn't a significant issue, I've wasted $60. Okay. Me: Please do put me in for a review for a refund, though. I'd rather have a chance at my $60 back than none at all and a game that doesn't work at all. Julio R.: I will. Please allow me a moment. Julio R.: Thanks for waiting. Julio R.: It was submitted for review. The refund will be processed to the wallet within 3-5 business days if approved. You will receive an email once it’s been processed. Is your sign in ID a valid email address to correspond with you? Me: Yes, it is. So I should keep my eye on my e-mail for the next week, then. Julio R.: Alright, sounds good. Julio R.: Do you have any other question I can assist you with today, Hunter? Me: Nope.
TL;DR for the Chat log: Imagine that. I can't get a refund (Though they are reviewing it!) for a game I can't play. No response from Bungie in nearly a week. Playstation support can't even put me in contact with Bungie. Bungie, we need to hear what you're doing to fix our issues. Sincerely, An annoyed Warlock. Edit: Problem seems to be fixed. If you had the problem you might try again.
