acquiring legendary gear and the lack of a trading system, why bungie contradicts themselves

This is just constructive criticism, not complaining or bashing. Lets discuss legendary gear, most people either say the loot system is horribly bad or it's perfectly fine. Here's my input: legendary gear is either found through engrams or bought through factions. So you choices are either playing the lottery, which you have no control over getting a ticket for, or BUYING the gear. Now if I'm not mistaken I remember bungie saying they didn't add a trade function because they didn't want players buying their way up to the best gear. But buying is still buying whether its from NPCs or players. You need a good amount of rep to buy that gear though you say, well yes but all you need to do is complete easy bounties and farm spinmetal to do that, not really an epic story behind that, is there? Now lets say you're playing a hard strike mission and you finally get a legendary engram, great right? You fought for it, you earned it, but guess what? It's not for your class, so now it's useless to you. So why not add trading? "We want you to warn your loot" well yes, there's a simply way to do both of these, limit trading to only armor of the same rarity and guns of the same rarity, or as far as only the same rarity and type, like helm for a helm and primary for a primary, because they earned that item but can't use it, so I think they earn the right to trade it for one they can use, that'd make sense, right? Instead of forcing them to BUY it, like you explicitly said you wanted to prevent. Plus it's a community game, or at least you pitched it that way, trading between two experienced players good enough to get legendary gear may promote them to join up and do the group required missions, like raids, because you know they're ready, as opposed to people having just run around earth collecting leaves.. Or bypass that all together and add hard missions you can get legendary gear from at levels lower than 25. Like say, the level 24 strikes. All comments and opinions welcome.

Note: This makes it so getting Exotics is a bit more reliable than just loot drops.[/quote] Makes the loot system a lot less bad and makes Exotics a lot more reliable to get because you -still- need to do challenges to get Strange Coins, which promotes more use of said challenges and co-op.
