Ok I was pretty upset at the reviewers giving destiny a 6/10 score so I wanted to share why I think it's better then borderlands which got great scores on all review sites. 1. Gameplay: destiny is at the very least better or equal to borderlands gameplay. The A.I. on destiny def beats borderlands by a longshot. They take cover and you can actually flank and maneuver on them. Makes every firefight tough and tactical in my opinion. 2. Graphics: destiny is drop dead gorgeous but I cannot compare the two because borderlands is cell shaded but destiny is definitely a 10/10 for graphics. 3. Mechanics: shooting mechanics on destiny feels much smoother then borderlands, not saying borderlands is bad, destiny just feels more crisp. 4. PVP: destiny wins again because they have multiplayer pvp while borderlands has duels. 5. Social interaction: destiny is all about it. When I'm on a mission I just love how I see people beside me fighting for the same goals. It gives destiny a mmo ish feel where your a tiny piece of a massive puzzle. The tower allows for players to show off their characters and gather fireteams. Borderlands has matchmaking and no shared world system. 6. UI: I love destinys UI. It feels smooth and not clunky. Borderlands is good too but not as smooth or organized as destinys. 7. Loot: it's much harder to earn loot on destiny but it allows you to use your weapons a little before trading them for something else and it gives you the feel that you earned them. Borderlands gives waaaaay too much loot. Hell I speant more time in my inventory screen then actually playing the game. 8. Story: this is what ppl don't understand. Destinys story is unfolded overtime. Honestly who cares about story on a mmo type game anyways. It's all about killing shit with friends and becoming the best. Borderlands story was also mediocre at best and I didn't give a shit while playing it. I love borderlands and it deserves good scores but so does destiny. I just wanted to point that out.
