Legendary Scout Rifle
Hi I am hoping another player can offer their opinion on the Legendary Scout rifle from the Vanguard quartermaster A.1F19X-Ryl.
Is this worth saving marks for?
All I wanted primary wise is a really nice scout rifle, I play more strikes and PVE as I don't really enjoy the Crucible and need a lot more practise before I can compete.
This looked nice, I know I need more armour really but I really want a gun! lol
I was trying to grind marks/rep in PVP but some really bad sports in there put me off big time.

3 RepliesI have that one now soon fully uppgraded and i had 27rounds in the mag and if u get precission kills the enemy explodes. Its op. I play hunter with it and works fine

Someone suggested turning the mod off, but as it's not a mod with 3 other options like the scopes I am assuming this isn't possible? I have checked all the other Scout rifles that the various factions have and they all have the same effect. Can anyone advise if this is a theme all Legendary Scouts have? and how big the nerf it does to damage vs single targets? Also is the explosive effect kills from precision shots? or all precision shots scored? Am I better off going to a Pulse rifle? Sorry for the question spam, just with limited playtime I want to make the correct choice. Edit: Sorry seen it is precision kills, so vs a boss I am assuming this I will lose some damage on this?

My concern with this is, my current scout does 242 max damage, The legendary is 248 to 300 maxed. If a large proportion of the damage is used on the explosion on a precision kill, then for a boss fight could I be doing the same damage I am doing now with a lesser gun?
